I think one of the sweetest parts of motherhood is realizing that the life we’re living right now will someday be the childhood our children remember. I literally get to give someone their childhood. That’s so special.

The slow mornings, the little traditions, the places we take them, the way our homes feel. Things that seem so simple to us might become some of their fondest memories.

definitely not an everyday thing, but I’ve always loved getting dressed up, and becoming a mom hasn’t changed that.

there’s something really sweet about making an effort for the days that don’t have anything special planned. I don’t want to save my favorite clothes or the little things that make me happy for weekends, date nights, or occasions🤎

sometimes I look at her little hand wrapped around my finger and think about everything those hands will someday do.

The places she’ll go, the people she’ll meet, the things she’ll create, and all the parts of life she’ll discover that I can’t even imagine yet.

All I wanted was a 30-minute walk. Somehow I’ve learned that getting out the door is the main event!

🍼 First, make sure she’s fed, changed, dressed, and hopefully content long enough to actually leave. I BF, so this means making sure she has enough pumped milk for the trip.

🎒 Then pack the diaper bag with everything she could possibly need for the 30 minutes we’ll be gone…plus the 5 times I had to go back because I forgot something.

🫠 Then remember I also have to get myself ready, which usually happens right around the time she decides she’s hungry again, needs another diaper, or falls asleep.

🤎 And somehow, once we’re finally out there, walking together with nowhere important to be, it’s completely worth it.

Current interests are getting serious!

1. 😳 Staring at a blank wall. Apparently a full time job.
2. 💩 Waiting until a fresh diaper is on to poop.
3. 👁️ Fighting sleep. Always has to keep that one eye open. FOMO.
4. 🍼 Eating (self explanatory)
5.🤸🏼 Trying to launch herself out of my arms
6. 😴 Being perfectly sound asleep until the bassinet transfer.
