The road down to the market was cold with the breath of coming autumn, carrying red meat, root-crops, and tall cans of dark ale back to the kitchen.

There the heavy pot was set into the heat of the oven, the meat browned and the dark ale poured, rich and hissing. All through the long afternoon the brew muttered within the iron, filling the rooms with the smell of roasting. When the grey night drew close, we gathered at the board to eat of the stew, finding heart and fellowship against the gathering cold of the world. taken in Galway, Ireland by @betweenwavesandmountains

There is a distinct kind of energy in simply showing up somewhere new and letting the day take its own shape. In Oughterard, between shelves packed with local goods and the simple comfort of shared Irish treats, the hours drift by with an effortless weightlessness. Strolling through county Galway, trading the familiar for the open road, and living fully in the present turn ordinary afternoons into the kind of stories you carry with you long after the journey ends. taken in Oughterard by @betweenwavesandmountains

There are certain corners of the world where art refuses to stay confined to a stage. In the heart of Galway, amidst the murmur of the crowd and the steady pulse of the cobblestones, Ellie Spencer bridges two distant worlds with quiet, effortless grace. To watch her dance ballet while drawing melody from a fiddle is to witness a story about balance; taking two entirely different disciplines, bound by memory and devotion, and weaving them into a single, living rhythm.

The late morning gathered close around the table, rich with that heavy, lingering grace of time running short. We shared a long, unhurried meal with my mother, holding tight to the simple comfort of having her here before her final days in Ireland slipped away. Outside, the world moved on, but inside that circle, every laugh and shared dessert felt slowed down, folded into a visit we already knew we would miss. by @betweenwavesandmountains

The afternoon light bent low over the western stone walls as the moon stepped quietly across the sun. The frantic edge of the day softened into a strange, purple twilight, casting long, arched shadows across the ground. For a few suspended moments, everything held its breath, and the world paused to watch the dark shadow sweep overhead, leaving us standing small and wonder-struck together beneath a fading sky. taken in Galway, Ireland by @betweenwavesandmountains

The Atlantic mist rolled in low over the Claddagh, wrapping the weekend in a quiet, salt-kissed silence. We chased the warmth through narrow stone streets, trading stories over tables heavy with good food and glasses crowned in white foam. Time didn’t march here; it drifted, pooling in the corners of crowded pubs and slipping out with the tide, leaving us anchored in the rich, lingering taste of a Galway weekend well spent. taken in Galway's Westend by @betweenwavesandmountains

Years of chasing tape, frequencies, and frames built the foundation, but tonight the Westend neon hums a different frequency. A new title, a quiet shift forward. Still writing our own score, far away from any tired script. taken in Monroe's Galway by @betweenwavesandmountains

This is a short visual diary of a trip to the Cliffs of Moher with my wife, our two boys, and my parents-in-law, who were visiting us for the very first time since we moved away from Brazil. Seeing them together was a bittersweet reminder of why we are here, and the high cost of the future we are trying to build for the boys.

Lately, my focus has been pulled into the rhythm of this new life and new work. The time I used to spend on videos has been replaced by new conversations, new lessons, and a complete shift in perspective. Honestly? I was hoping for this. To not feel stagnant in my 40s is a gift, even if it means stepping away from the things I used to do.

I still love making these, but life has different plans right now. I don’t know what the future of this channel looks like, but I’m grateful for where the path is leading. taken in Cliffs of Moher, Ireland by @betweenwavesandmountains

A Sunday measured in simple things. Tomato sauce simmering, bread warming in the oven, small hands learning recipes that travelled across generations and oceans. A little piece of Italy around the table, shared between stories, laughter, and the quiet satisfaction of making something together. Delicious, of course, but it was never only about the food. by @betweenwavesandmountains

Spring settling into Barna Woods like a slow dream. Rugby with the kids between the trees, pockets full of muddy grass, stopping every few steps to photograph the light breaking through the woods. Days that ask nothing from you except to be there. taken in Barna Woods, Galway by @betweenwavesandmountains

Standing by Dunguaire Castle and thinking about how old this land really is. Stone, sea, wind, stories layered over centuries. Ireland has this way of making even an ordinary walk feel connected to something far older and far bigger than yourself. taken in Dunguaire Castle by @betweenwavesandmountains
