Playing the first #FOOLcollective showcase on 20th August at @avaloncafebermondsey. Very glad to be part of something that’s just getting started with a genuinely lovely group.

@nietgod and I practicing, she might do a guest appearance, we’ll see 😉

First FOOL showcase lineup!

What is FOOL?: It started with song shares. Some of us had done @school_of_song workshops with @brianeno, @agcook404, @eccopn and @arca1000000, some did one, some did several, but we all ended up in the same room in London afterwards, talking.

Some of us have years of experience. Some have never played a show. Some stepped back from the scene out of disillusionment, others are still finding their footing. And we decided to start something, not to fix a big problem, but to add to what others are already building. We need more.

FOOL is founded on that premise. Our aim is to go for showcases where the stage is open to those in the collective, wherever we might be in the journey, not just where we’ve already arrived.

First showcase: Thursday 20th August at @avaloncafebermondsey. We will continue sharing more. Stay tuned.

Optimistically, FOOL

I forget what it took to get where I am because I am there. Sometimes that’s self-preservation. Sometimes it’s a disservice.
Just kids playing loud experimental noise at Centro Cultural de la Raza in San Diego. The first time what I was doing was welcomed and encouraged by this world we made. This was the best it had ever gotten for me at the time. But it was just a start, I still had a long way to go, and I’m still going by @beuhon

Few artists have inspired me as much as David Lynch. He wasn’t just singular, I also found him to be absolutely pure and true in his artistic expression. I promise I’ll keep my eye on the donut. by @beuhon

I’m about to embark on a very significant project I’ve been ideating and planning for the past few years now with some incredible support in the UK. I will soon share more details, but today I’d like to invite you to a night of experimentation this wednesday the 27th, @chaos_at_nlt , hosted by @audreyriley298 and as guest to one of my biggest supporters since moving to London @lia_mice. I’m happy to share the stage with her once again, as well as with my longtime collaborator @beuhon doing their solo improvisation. I will be performing a few of my new soundbites and messing with them a bit. Parts of this will be the basis for a few of my upcoming releases. Hope you can join in support of this event, we need more safe spaces like this one to experiment in public, not the opposite 🖤 by @beuhon

EVENING ORBS
is out.
The vocals sung by @lmgnmusic were the product of an evening during which she was experiencing a mix of Sisyphean defeats while literally walking uphill bearing heavy physical and emotional burdens but in hopes that reaching the top in all its visually stimulating beauty on one of many attempts might eventually lead to an enlightening outcome, imagining herself in a broken video game scenario.
Give it a listen, hope you enjoy it, and share your thoughts if you feel like it :]
Thanks, B

THIS IS LOCKJAW is out today. It was composed during an extended period living as an expat in a foreign country, I wrote it with the perspective of other-ness, living without fluency in language and culture. The song was written around October 2019 and about six months later everyone in the world had a similar experience which seemed an uncanny fit for the lyrics proving that the experience of isolation is universally identifiable.
Please share if you appreciate this work. Thanks! B
