I’m a guest artist this month at @northtahoearts
All of my work that is up was shot on film.

This series encapsulates Tahoe as I perceived it during my formative years. Lambent light dancing on the surface, water caustics below. I have found that the lake takes on an Impressionism effect when you observe it long enough. Shooting it analog preserves the emotional texture. Each shot is the moment before going underwater, the moment before the noise of the world momentarily dulls and all you have is what directly in front of you.

My favorite photo I shot in Paris. Perhaps one of my favorite photos I’ve shot ever. I love the movement. The perspective of stillness amongst the crowd rush. Fun to imagine what each person in the photo is doing. Giving them each a character and plot development. And I am amongst them all, blocking the path up the hill.

I shot this in Montmartre on a cold February day. Mere moments later it began to snow. I can still feel how frozen my fingers were trying to hit the shutter button. Worth it. Always.

Costa Rica spring 2025. I could swim in the ocean for hours and hours. Monkeys make a deep guttural sound I wasn’t aware of before. I absolutely crush driving a side by side in some gnarly terrain. I got a stomach bug and was barely hanging on as my sister did majority of the kayaking. Love snorkelling with the fishies. Brought a piece of Lil to CR so she could see the ocean. Had some really incredible beans and rice. Saw dolphins and sea turtles. Went to a coffee farm. Sunsets were magic.

TOULOUSE 💛 sur film

I loved wandering through this city. Such a vibrant energy. Everyone flocks to the parks to read, picnic, chat, go for a walk. I journaled on a bench for an hour and people watched for so long. I stumbled upon a violet festival during its final hours. I saw some of my favorite artwork ever in the Salle des Illustres. Quite the impactful time in the singular day I was in Toulouse.

The Northern California coastline has always held a special place in my heart. I love driving for hours along the winding road, windows down, hair in knots, covered in the fresh marine air. The towering cliffs and vast ocean reminding me of how small I am in the Universe. Some places just make you feel more at home in yourself; this is it for me.

I shot a lot of these photos from the car. They really feel unique because I’ll never have that same angle and moment again.

A wild sunset progression from September 2023. I was in total awe of that dividing line between shadow and light. It’s the only time I’ve ever witnessed something like that. A 360 degree experience of a lifetime.
