#InternationalWomensDay stories 💌💬 Meet @bexiondesignstudio, who is absolutely bossing it since graduating with her HND Web Development in 2019!

Not only is Rebecca running a successful digital marketing business, she was recently shortlisted in the @femalefounderawards, and won Social Media Manager of the Year at @thefemalebossawards last year 👏

She's super passionate about encouraging girls and young women to consider computing as a future career - Rebecca had previously left a computing course due to being the only girl in her class, returned to education over a decade later, and has been an advocate for women in STEM since.

"Computing is still a male-dominated industry, but there are fantastic opportunities for everyone, including women. I am proud to be an entrepreneur and a woman in STEM.

I am living proof that you can not only go back to follow your dreams, but also be successful. If you have the ambition to be your own boss, don’t wait, just start!”

APPRECIATION POST… 11 years ago, Sam and I worked together. When I decided to chase my dream being a web designer whilst working for her … she believed in me .. she became my very first client and somewhere along the way, she became one of my best friends too. 🥹

Fast forward 11 years and I now have a multi-award-winning business, but so much of that journey goes back to the employer (Sam at the time) who let me change my hours so I could go to uni, supported what I wanted to build, and then trusted me with her own business when I was just starting out.

From employer, to first client, to best friend. 🤍 Funny how one person taking a chance on you can change everything.

I know I’ve been a little quiet… but I’m back 👀

And I’m starting a new series with my Meta glasses: POV Diary of a Social Media Manager

Social media is only one part of what I do I’m usually somewhere between coding websites, building brands, designing, strategising and creating content but THIS is exactly the kind of moment you want Meta glasses for.

A little Exhale moment ✨🥂 Dr. Sam and Rebecca had the loveliest time at @thereset.agency Exhale 3.0 this weekend, surrounded by so many inspiring women in business.

From the gorgeous food by @wildlynourish to cocktails by @reynoldscocktails every detail of the event was beautiful… and even the sun decided to make an appearance! ☀️

There’s something so refreshing about being surrounded by women who just get it. Running a business can be exciting, rewarding, challenging and completely full-on, so having the chance to switch off, connect with like-minded women, share stories, laugh and simply exhale for a while was very much needed.

New friendships were made, plenty of memories were created and we left feeling inspired, refreshed and grateful to have been part of such a fabulous event. 💫

Here’s to brilliant women, beautiful connections and making more time to exhale. 🤍

Our last branding project of the year reveal. Olive Bloom & Co, a new luxury floristry, is opening soon in Lancashire.
