Seven. Years. Straight. • Two days ago I hit a fitness/movement milestone. Since having my Apple Watch I have closed all 3 rings for 7 years straight. Do you know how many days that is?! 2,557 (there have been 2 leap years in there in case you think the math is wrong). That’s a LONG time. • I don’t care what anyone says about @apple - my watch was the one tool that motivated me to make intentional movement a part of my daily life. February 7, 2023: Frodo got his freedom at 11:35am, while laying in my arms, surrounded by love and peace. • Grateful to my Dad and Judy for being with me, because I wouldn’t have had the strength on my own. And to the 100+ people who have been supportive and sending messages of love - you’ll never know how much it means. • If you’ve followed along for awhile you’ll remember this tree in the park that I always took pictures of Frodo at. Well, I decided I wasn’t sending him over a rainbow bridge, he would be free to walk his favourite (now rainbow) path. Special thank you to @zero_d_wpg for the special touch on one of my countless favourite photos. • It’s not goodbye, it’s goodnight, as he fell into a peaceful sleep. Since no one wanted to go to Kingsway for fish and chips, I treated myself to something similar at home. (There is no contest, @kingswayfishandchips reigns supreme, but it’s V-Day and their special was a dinner for 2.) • I tested out my @midea.canada dual air fryer SYNC feature today and I am super impressed. I tossed some broccoli and frozen french fries in a little bit of olive oil with salt, pepper and garlic and that was in the top basket, while I baked my haddock fillet in the bottom. • Highly recommend! • #ValentinesDay #DinnerForOne #CookingAtHome #FishAndChips #airfryercooking by @bexpixphoto

3,000 days total (not in a row … that’s next month!) I have closed all three rings on my Apple Watch. That’s longer than **8 years**. Has it always been fun? No. Has it always been easy? No. Have I always been perfect? Absolutely not. But have I always been consistent? Yes. Yes I have. People ask me how I do it or tell me they admire my motivation. Motivation went out the window years ago. It’s discipline that keeps me going. It’s knowing that I’m better for it than if I don’t do it. Health is the real wealth we should all be chasing. It’s interesting to see how the censorship is working. I haven’t lost any followers in the last week, but my “reach” is significantly less. • This also won’t deter me from sharing what a lot of people won’t (but I see when you like the things I repost, so don’t think it’s completely anonymous 😉). • I won’t sit in silence. The atrocities happening on the other side of the border matter. People matter. Human rights matter. HUMANS matter. If you don’t agree, you’re free to leave. @thewateringcan is one of my most favourite places and at Christmastime, it’s magical. I spent THREE hours there, including taking myself on a lunch date. It was fabulous. One of the hardest parts of losing the majority of my Christmas decor in the flood, was losing Merry & Marty, my Christmas moose. I’ve searched and searched and finally found … their cousins!
