New gear day!!

I finally added an AD200 to my setup and I’m so excited to put it to work! I wanted something with more power that I could still easily bring along to sessions. This will give me a lot more flexibility for indoor spaces, outdoor fill, and those times when I want a little more control over the light.

I’ll always love natural light, but there’s something so fun about being able to create your own, too.

AD200 Users, what’s your favorite way to use yours?

With fall right around the corner, I wanted to share my Style Guide for anyone staring at their closet wondering, “What am I supposed to wear for photos?”

My biggest tip? Choose colors that complement, textures that add interest, and outfits that feel like YOU. You don’t have to perfectly match to look amazing together!

Lexington, Michigan

There’s something extra special about seeing one of my favorite childhood towns on film. I grew up visiting here with my grandparents, and now we try to bring the kids back every year for a visit to the General Store.

C + A + L 🤍
Leon wasn’t too sure about my camera (especially the long lens 😅), we lost a shoe somewhere along the way, and somehow still ended up with these. I’d call that a successful evening. 🤍

Kala + Cam

Proof that you don’t need months of planning to make something beautiful.

A spontaneous session with my childhood best friend and her partner Cam. They showed up exactly as they are, and that’s what made these some of my favorite images 🩶🩶

During my last trip home to Michigan, I was blessed with the opportunity to document the welcoming of baby Bodie into the world. 🩶

What an incredible experience it was to document those tiny details, the snuggles and a hospital room completely overflowing with love.

And bless Katie for filling that room with ALL the people. 😂 Both families were there ready to love this sweet boy!

David and Katie now have the two sweetest boy! Welcome to the world, Bodie 🩶
