Beyond Headlines is descent into the hidden power and perils of media as a form of communication and suggesting a road to reform.
POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
My publishers have been kind enough to craft a trailer for the first volume of Beyond Headlines: The Medium and Its Mutations…a gesture I’m deeply grateful for.

In an age where disinformation does not merely speak but surges, measured not only in volume but in velocity…this work attempts to pause, interrogate, and understand the very machinery of modern communication.

I hope you’ve had the chance to get your copy. by @beyondheadlines_book

Grateful. Humbled. Energised.

Beyond Headlines – Volume I: The Medium and Its Mutations is now officially live and available across online and offline platforms.

This book has been a long journey into the history, philosophy, and evolution of media, from its earliest forms to its modern mutations. It asks difficult questions about power, narrative, truth, and the structures that shape what we see and believe.

The book is now available at leading bookstores across India, and globally on platforms such as Amazon and Flipkart. I would especially encourage those who can to purchase it directly from the publisher’s marketplace supporting independent publishing and scholarship matters.

A portion of the proceeds will go toward educational and charitable initiatives, because ideas must circulate not only in discourse, but in responsibility.

If you choose to read it, I look forward to your reflections, disagreements, and conversations. This project was never meant to end with publication, rather it was meant to begin a dialogue.

This work took nearly six years to complete. The idea of tribunalisation first occurred to me during my tenure at the National Green Tribunal, and it has since evolved into a four volume series. The next volume is slated for release in April 2026.

The book is available in most prominent bookstores across India and worldwide on Amazon and Flipkart. I would, however, encourage you to purchase it directly from the publisher’s marketplace through the attached link, as that more directly supports creative writing and scholarship. A part of the proceeds will also be contributed towards educational and charitable initiatives undertaken by me.

I truly hope you will read it, support it, and most importantly, help carry this conversation forward.

With gratitude. taken in Global by @beyondheadlines_book

When a former Attorney General speaks, the room does not merely listen, it recalibrates.
Mr. Mukul Rohatgi brought to the discussion on Beyond Headlines – The Medium and Its Mutations a voice shaped by decades at the constitutional frontier, strong in conviction yet measured in restraint.

His observations cut through sentiment and noise, engaging the first volume not as a book to be praised, but as an argument to be tested. There was force in his words, but also a poignancy that comes only from having seen institutions evolve, fracture, and endure. It was law speaking to media, not in hostility, but in concern.

Moments like these remind an author why ideas must leave the page and enter dialogue. When constitutional experience interrogates contemporary media power, the conversation becomes not just timely, but necessary. taken in Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya by @beyondheadlines_book

Avantika S. Gautam engaging with the panelists with rare clarity, experience, and an infectious exuberance that lifted the room. Thoughtful questions, sharp insight, and a presence that reminded everyone why meaningful dialogue still matters.

Encouraging. Inspiring. And a quiet reminder that the future of legal and media discourse is in capable, curious hands. taken in Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya by @beyondheadlines_book

Here, Mr. Mukul Rohatgi, former Attorney General of India, is seen engaging critically with the question of media regulation and accountability, responding to Avantika’s bold and unflinching questions posed to some of the finest legal minds in the country.

This was not polite conversation, but serious constitutional engagement. Questions that did not seek comfort, but clarity. Answers shaped by experience, sharpened by responsibility, and anchored in the understanding that media power, like all power, must answer to law.

Moments like these are why dialogue matters. When courage meets constitutional memory, ideas are tested, not celebrated. And in that testing lies the possibility of reform. by @beyondheadlines_book

I was deeply blessed to receive such honest, motivating words from Mr. Mukul Rohatgi, former Attorney General of India, someone I have long admired for his reputation, integrity, and moral clarity in the legal profession.

My respect for him is irreplaceable. Not merely for the offices he has held, but for the standards he embodies. Through his words and his work, he teaches me every day that the practice of law must be approached with rigour, honesty, and righteousness, and that ambition must always remain subordinate to service of the larger good of society.

Moments like these are humbling reminders that the true measure of success in law is not applause, but adherence to principle. taken in Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya by @beyondheadlines_book

It was a rare honour to felicitate my mentor, Mr. Percival Sam Billimoria, who so generously lent his time, his voice, and his wisdom to the dialogue on misinformation in the age of disinformation during the panel discussion at the launch of my debut literary work, Beyond Headlines – The Medium and Its Mutations.

Words fall short of capturing what it meant to honour him at a moment when he continues to spearhead vital public causes in the field of law with a discipline that is both exacting and inspiring. His commitment is not performative; it is practiced daily, quietly, and with an integrity that resists erosion by time or trend.

To acknowledge him in that space was not merely a gesture of gratitude, but a recognition of a life lived in service of principle. Some influences do not fade into memory; they become part of the fabric of one’s thinking, etched permanently into the pursuit of law, conscience, and courage. taken in Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya by @beyondheadlines_book

The unveiling of Beyond Headlines by the panelists was a moment of profound stillness for me. Not because a book was revealed, but because a journey quietly came into view. Beside that moment stood my greatest strength, my family, whose faith has carried me long before these pages existed.

A book may bear one name on its cover, but it is never written alone. It is shaped by love, sacrifice, patience, and the invisible hands that steady you when the weight feels too much. This unveiling was as much theirs as it was mine. by @beyondheadlines_book
