ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: THE UPBEATS

Celebrating their 20th anniversary this year, New Zealand drum and bass duo The Upbeats—Jeremy Glenn and Dylan Jones—continue to be a powerhouse in the electronic music scene. Known for their high-energy, genre-blending style, they’ve spent the past two decades pushing the boundaries of drum and bass, evolving from Wellington’s underground music circles to becoming a global name in the genre.

This anniversary has been marked by an exceptional homecoming, with all dates on their New Zealand tour selling out, a testament to their lasting impact and dedicated fanbase. Their discography, including landmark albums like Nobody’s Out There and Primitive Technique, showcases their versatile sound—from dark, cinematic atmospheres to adrenaline-pumping, dancefloor-ready tracks.

The Upbeats’ career has been marked by collaborations with top names like Noisia and Shapeshifter, plus releases on labels such as Vision Recordings and RAM Records. As they enter their third decade, The Upbeats remain at the forefront of drum and bass, both in New Zealand and globally, celebrated for their dynamic live performances and innovative productions that continue to inspire fans around the world.

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: JOE FORD

Joe Ford: a man, a myth, an enigma... And quite possibly your favourite producer's favourite producer. There's a special soul and essence to the work of this unique UK electronic artist that cannot be reduced to simplified subgenres or misleading metrics. He's far too real for that.

Brazenly technical yet powerfully emotional; Immensely musical yet unapologetically extreme; Rooted in the riffs and energy of his first musical love of rock and metal yet driven by an obsession for engineering and the technicalities of electronic fusion and futurism... Joe's music is at once gentle, dynamic, daring, dangerous, traditional and innovative, sometimes all within one track.

Now a member of the exciting Evolution Chamber collective, Joe is just as inspired and passionate about the technical and emotional potential of electronic music production as he was when he first broke through in 2010. Now deep enough into the game to have developed a consistent yet excitingly unpredictable output, his reputation as one of electronic music's most enigmatic and influential innovators continues to grow.

You do not want to miss his set this Saturday, get your tickets now! 💥
