Come on a little walk with me around Izola 🎶
Every summer, a group of incredible singers gather in this magical little corner of Slovenia to experiment, explore, and find their way back to themselves — shedding the protective armour, strengthening the muscle of self trust, and finding their own unique artistic compass.

This is a retreat for singers who are ready to stop waiting for permission and just… play.

”Workshopping with the band was an incredibly valuable (and fun!) experience. I often feel subdued around professional musicians, assuming I can only learn from them rather than contribute to the musical direction. But this band was more attentive than I could have ever imagined! Singers join me for my favorite week of the year! I only have a few more spots left on offer!

This retreat is really about stepping out of the noise for a little while…
and into a space where you can slowly let go of some of the protective armour we all end up carrying as artists.

A space to reconnect with that creative part of yourself that keeps quietly knocking on the door…

the part that wants to explore, play, express, risk, feel.

And honestly, one of my favourite things every year is watching singers slowly soften throughout the week.

The masks start dropping.
People stop trying so hard to “get it right.”

They start trusting themselves more. Taking more risks. Listening more deeply. Making music from a more honest place.

And somewhere in the middle of all the music, sea swims, conversations and late-night jam sessions…
people start hearing themselves again.

LIVE @donau115 BERLIN 3/6 Double Bill with @jamiedoe_themagiclantern featuring @mrobinsonmusic and @adamwaldmann

I love how these phrases let me fly, it feels like taking off, bringing me straight back to being young in London, trying to figure out love, life, and a music career, held together by the most important thing! FRIENDS. Brilliant, talented, generous friends. We needed each other to stay inspired, to keep moving forward, to believe it was all possible. I still remember Jamie playing me this tune after a coffee in Angel, casually wondering if I might sing it, maybe even record it. I didn’t hesitate. It’s been my favourite song to sing ever since!

Join me and Jamie (aka the magic lantern) for our first double bill in Berlin on the 3/6 featuring Adam Waldmann on Sax and Matt Robinson on piano.

We are also hosting an intimate workshop for singers and/or songwriters on the 2nd of June. More info in my bio.
