Today, Taamaraa turns one.
And as I sit down to write this, my heart is full. ❤️

Opening Taamaraa was a journey powered by belief. From the very beginning, we knew this was never meant to be just a restaurant, it was a dream. A vision. A feeling we wanted to share with our community.

Through every step, one thing remained constant; our unwavering faith that this dream would come to life. We trusted the process. We stayed committed. And slowly, beautifully, everything began to align.

On March 2nd, 2025, we proudly opened our doors.
A day filled with emotion, gratitude, and celebration.
The day our dream became reality.

What followed has been nothing short of incredible.

This past year has brought joy, growth, learning, and unforgettable memories. And none of it would have been possible without the people who are the true pillars of Taamaraa.
- Our leadership team and partners who believed in the vision from day one.
- Our talented and dedicated chefs who deliver quality and consistency in every dish.
- Our guest experience team who create warmth and memorable experiences for every guest.

Behind the scenes, we have intentionally built Taamaraa with structure, discipline, and strong operational foundations because excellence doesn’t happen by chance. It is built with purpose.

And then, there is you.

To our guests: your unwavering support means everything. You showed up. You came back. You celebrated life’s special moments with us. You encouraged us to keep getting better every single day.

A 4.9 Google rating with over 2000 reviews is not just a milestone, it is a responsibility. It motivates us to keep raising the bar and delivering the very best.

As we step into year two, we do so with gratitude, confidence, and even bigger dreams. We are listening. We are evolving. And we have exciting things ahead.

Taamaraa stands for heartfelt hospitality and incredible quality food, and that promise will only grow stronger.

The Joy of Sharing a Sadhya:

Sunday, our little corner of Taamaraa felt a little more like home.

We had the privilege of hosting a private Onam Sadhya for a small gathering of friends, cherished patrons and well-wishers. We deliberately kept it intimate, with just 40 guests, so that the Sadhya could be experienced in the warmth and ease of our ground floor; unhurried, informal and close.

And somehow, that was exactly what we hoped it would be.

There was laughter, conversation, generous helpings of food, and the kind of comfort that comes when people sit together over a meal with no hurry to leave. Most importantly, there was so much genuine appreciation for the food. Our chefs received compliments that truly touched us, and seeing people enjoy every part of the Sadhya made all the hours of preparation worthwhile.

For us at Taamaraa, feeding people has always been something deeply personal. There is a very special kind of joy in preparing food for others, watching them savour it, and knowing that something made with our hands has brought them happiness. That feeling, the contentment of having fed someone well, is perhaps one of the simplest and purest joys we know.

Onam Sadhya, in particular, has quietly become one of our favourite occasions at Taamaraa. Our chefs look forward to it with a childlike excitement, taking immense pride in bringing together the many flavours, textures and traditions that make a Sadhya so special.

Sunday reminded us once again why we love doing this.

We were also deeply touched by the many enquiries we received afterwards asking if we would host another Sadhya. Many of those messages came from guests who had experienced our Sadhya last year, and to know that they remembered it, returned for it, and wanted to experience it again means more to us than we can put into words.

Next year, we hope to plan it well in advance and open the doors to many more of you who would like to share this beautiful tradition with us.

For now, a heartfelt *thank you* to everyone who joined us yesterday — for your presence, your warmth, your kind words, and for receiving our food with such wholehearted appreciation.

It was so difficult to resist the Sadhya and actually sketch instead! 🫢

But honestly, it was such a fun experience, trying to capture the beautiful spread while surrounded by all those tempting dishes. 🥥 🌴

Few weeks in California, but the memories we brought home will last a lifetime. 🤍

No matter where we travel or how beautiful the destination, the best holidays are always the ones spent with family — surrounded by people who cherish your presence, fill your days with laughter, and love your little ones as their own.

Our children were showered with love by their Athai, Mama, Chithi, Chitapa, and their cousins, making this trip so much more than a holiday. It was about togetherness, endless laughter, being pampered, and simply enjoying the magic of family.

Some moments are too special for photographs to capture, and these memories are exactly that. Beyond the places we visited and the pictures we took, we are grateful for the precious moments we created and the core memories we were able to give our children.

Sometimes the best plans are the unplanned ones ❤️

A quick, impromptu escape to Winterberg turned into exactly what we needed — a pause from the rush, a breath of fresh air, and time to just be.

Surrounded by nature, slowing down, and soaking in moments with family felt incredibly grounding.
We did miss our eldest — growing up comes with busy schedules and plans of its own — and it reminded me how rare and precious these together moments really are.

This little getaway was all about resetting, realigning, and reconnecting… with ourselves and with each other. And honestly, Winterberg delivered magic in the simplest ways 🌿

Ending 2025 with some well-deserved family time…
This year has been nothing short of a lesson in gratitude, courage, and realignment.
2025 marked one of the biggest shifts of my life—walking away from an 18-year full-time career to pursue a business @taamaraa_nl had lived as more than just a dream… It wasn’t easy, comfortable, or predictable, but it was necessary. This year taught me how important it is to trust yourself, cut out the noise, and focus only on the signals that truly matter.
Those signals showed up as the right people, meaningful conversations, laser focus on work and duty, and quiet reminders to stay grounded. The year brought in people who were meant to be part of our journey and gently cleared out what no longer belonged.
It also helped me recognize the strength within and the power of having people who genuinely believe in you. Balancing family, business, health, kids, and relationships is never simple, but this year reinforced the importance of constantly checking in on priorities—and surrounding yourself with people who help keep that balance in place.
Ending the year with time away felt essential. Time to unplug, reflect, and write down what the next chapter should look like.
Dubai wasn’t just a holiday. It was a pause. A place to reconnect as a family, speak openly, and gain clarity on what truly matters—and what doesn’t.
Grateful for the journey, grounded in the present, and quietly excited for what’s ahead.

If you told our childhood selves that one day we’d be wandering around Europe together, laughing our way through train rides and tiny alleyways, we would’ve never believed you.
