A word from the Walker Family...

Dear BFA Team,

I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude for all BFA has done for my family during what has been an incredibly challenging time. On March 11, 2025, we faced the unimaginable when a fire destroyed our home. My birthday, which should have been a day of joy, quickly turned into a day of grief, confusion and uncertainty. As a single mother of three, I found myself at a loss, unsure of how we could ever recover from such a tragedy.

But in the midst of this dark moment, God sent BFA. From the moment we reached out, they responded without hesitation. BFA didn’t just help us find a place to stay, they turned that space into a true home. BFA support went beyond providing the essentials. They gave us peace, comfort, and stability when we needed it most.

In those early days, when I felt overwhelmed and uncertain, their kindness and generosity gave us hope. BFA provided more than just material support—they gave us a sense of security and reassurance. BFA allowed us to rebuild not just our lives, but our spirits, helping us move forward with faith and strength.

Their selflessness and care have been a reflection of God’s love. I’ve seen His hand at work through each of you, and because of your compassion, we’ve been able to regain our balance. BFA helped us find a sense of peace and healing during a time when we thought it was impossible.

Thank you for showing up for us in such a powerful way. BFA actions have truly been an answer to our prayers. I am forever grateful for your unwavering support and for turning our tragedy into a blessing. May God bless each and every one of you for your kindness and generosity.

Thank you so much for your incredibly generous donation which helped the Walker family after their recent house fire. Your support has been invaluable as they work to rebuild their lives and recover from this devastating loss.

Your gift had a direct impact on their ability to not only find temporary housing, but to replace essential belongings, get back on their feet and secure a new primary residence. Knowing that they have the community's support during this difficult time has made a world of difference.

HELP DESPERATELY NEEDED!

BF Allen Hope Center for Women, in Phoenix, AZ, is actively asking for your assistance to help us as we raise funds and/or collect property donations for Linda Walker and her family after experiencing a devastating fire in their home in Phoenix last week. Linda is a single mother to three children and the fire has left them displaced without a home, and has caused such damage that a majority of their belongings are not salvageable. Currently they are being housed at a local hotel while efforts are made to find an alternative place for the family to live. If you are able to help this family out, there are three ways to assist.

Cash donations can be made on our website at:

These cash donations will go towards securing a new residence for the family, uncluding costs associated with application fees, security deposit, etc.
We are also accepting property donations for the following items which were lost in the fire:
-> all kitchens items (dishes, pans, small appliances, etc.),
-> living room furniture
-> dining room furniture
Should you have any property donations, please reach out via direct message and we will set up a time for someone to come pick up your donation.
