Meditation on Pattern, 24x24”, acrylic on canvas 2. My Kantha cloth. I first started by painting the Buddha face and I worked on it during the summer out on my porch. Even though the Sun was directly overhead (on the roof), the reflection on the face changed every time I looked up, I spent a lot of time looking at the reflections on form and color and how that changes with the movement of the Sun. And every time I looked up, the reflections had changed as the Sun was changing its position in the sky relative to the Earth. Even the same time the following day was different. When you tune in to that, you realize that each instant and each gaze is unique, never to be repeated. by @bfollettcolon
