It’s difficult to describe the unique gift it’s been to be asked by @bg.creativeco to share my story of becoming a painter in his upcoming short film.

Sharing our stories can awaken new levels of grief and longing. I’m so grateful for the sensitivity and respect of this crew in making a safe space as they have listened deeply and created thoughtfully.

Participating in this project was a beautiful next step into God’s invitation toward a life of being seen and fully known.

AOD student feature @bg.creativeco “After winning the 2025 One Day Doc emerging filmmaker award, I knew my next step was building a real crew. AOD students all said the same thing: teaming up is how you grow faster and make better films. Joseph and John came to mind immediately. From day one it was easy. No egos, positive attitudes, a shared vision for how to honor Justine’s story. That’s what this community makes possible.” @bg.creativeco

Justine’s story is a portrait of an artist wrestling with the tension of feeling invisible and the question of what happens when she is finally seen.

Grateful to receive news that “Return to Grace” was nominated for an award today from @theartofdocumentary in their 2026 short film competition. Almost 100 films submitted so to be one of the nominees is cool.

As someone who struggles with never feeling good enough, I’m grateful to the TEAM who came together to support the film. Would not have been possible without each of you!

Caught in His beauty, in San Francisco.

When we met to discuss capturing moments across the city for this project with @realitysf, @jordandeen told me, “I hope you are in awe of his beauty as you capture each shot.”

Sometimes it is hard to see God‘s beauty in a busy city, but not in this case ❤️ 🎥 🙌🏽
