Motivational Monday | Recharge & Refocus, Trojans! 🗣️

As we begin a new week, remember that taking time to recharge is just as important as putting in the work. Tomorrow is Trojan Wellness Day, which means no classes! Take advantage of the break to rest, reset, and prepare for what’s ahead. 🧘🏾‍♂️

🏛️ Homecoming: It’s almost that time, Trojans! Homecoming kicks off next week, so make sure you’re following the Trojans Activities Board to stay updated on everything happening throughout the week. 🧡💙

📚 Midterms: Midterms are approaching, so now is the time to stay on top of your assignments, prepare for your exams, and remain diligent in your studies. Don’t wait until the last minute finish the semester strong!

🚗 Campus Safety: Remember, the speed limit on campus is 25 MPH, and stop signs are not optional. Slow down, stay alert, and do your part to keep our campus community safe.

As Brother Jesse Owens once said, “Find the good. It’s all around you. Find it, showcase it and you’ll start believing in it.”

Take time to recharge, find the good around you, and stay focused on what you’re working toward.

Today , Brothers Justin Francis [1-ΒΓ-26], Sakorii Whiteman [2-ΒΓ-26] & Terry Albright Jr [5-ΒΓ-26] had the opportunity to volunteer and perform at the 4th Annual Fall Kickback Community Celebration in Petersburg.

From supporting the event behind the scenes to bringing energy through performance, our Brothers were proud to contribute to an afternoon centered on community, resources, fellowship, and service.

We’re grateful for every opportunity to show up, give back, and strengthen the communities around us.

Last Saturday, the Brothers of the Beta Gamma Chapter had the opportunity to serve at the Chesterfield Food Distribution Drive at the MPC, helping distribute food and essential resources to families throughout the community.

Service extends far beyond the walls of our campus. We’re grateful for every opportunity to lend a helping hand, strengthen our community, and put our principles into action.

As we begin a new week, we want to thank everyone who came out and supported our Queens Week events! 👑 A special thank you to everyone who attended the BG Queens Interest Meeting and took the time to learn more, connect with the chapter, and see what it means to be a BG Queen. Now the question is… who will take home the crown? 👀👑

🗳️ Are You Registered to Vote? Virginia’s General Election is coming up on November 3rd. Take the time to check your voter registration status, learn what will be on your ballot, and make a plan to participate.

👔 How To Dress: Join us on September 24th at 5 PM in Engineering Room 119 for “How To Dress With Mr. & Miss BBS,” hosted by BBS in collaboration with the Beta Gamma Chapter. Come learn the essentials of professional attire and etiquette to help you show up with confidence!

As Jesse Owens once said, “We must use time creatively, in the knowledge that the time is always ripe to do right.”

Yesterday, Bro. Woods [8-ΒΓ-25] had the opportunity to represent Northwestern Mutual at the 2026 Virginia State University Career Fair. During the event, Bro. Woods connected with fellow Trojans, shared insight into the Northwestern Mutual internship experience, and spoke about the knowledge, skills, and professional growth he has gained throughout his time as an intern.

Bro. Whiteman [2-BΓ-26] had the opportunity to proudly represent VSU Hospitality at the College of Agriculture Legislative Luncheon. He shared his experiences as a member of the Hospitality Management Department while engaging with local and state legislators from across the Commonwealth of Virginia.

It was a great opportunity to represent VSU, highlight the Hospitality Management program, and connect with leaders who support the university and its students.

Culley [3-BΓ-26] attended the Eastern Region College Brothers Retreat, where they had the opportunity to connect with Brothers from across the region, gain valuable insight into Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., and learn more about the principles and responsibilities of the Brotherhood.
