🚤💙 A big thank you to Atlas Restaurant Group!

We're incredibly grateful to Atlas Restaurant Group for sponsoring a 50/50 raffle benefiting Boys & Girls Clubs of Anne Arundel County during the Annapolis Powerboat Show, October 8–11!

What a great way to bring the community together while supporting local youth!

As the Atlas Restaurant Group team shared:
"We're excited to partner with Boys and Girls Club in the region. With our Annapolis restaurant presence, this is a great opportunity to partner with BGCAA during one of the biggest events of the year. We look forward to more engagement with the Clubs in the future."

Thank you to everyone who participated in the raffle and helped support our mission. Community partnerships like this help us continue providing the programs, mentorship, and opportunities that empower our Club members to learn, grow, and thrive.

We're excited about this new partnership and look forward to finding more ways to work together.

🤟 In celebration of International Day of Sign Languages, our youth practiced signing their names using American Sign Language (ASL)!

It was a fun, hands-on opportunity to learn something new while exploring the importance of communication, inclusion, and understanding others.

At BGCAA, we love introducing our members to new skills and perspectives that help them connect with the world around them. And sometimes, something as simple as learning to sign your own name can be a great place to start!

Check out some of our youth showing off what they learned! 👏💙

☕👮 Coffee with a Cop, BGCAA style! 💙

Some of our youth recently took part in National Coffee with a Cop Day! We brought coffee and donuts to the Anne Arundel County Police Department and spent time connecting with the officers.

It was a great chance to ask questions, have conversations, share a few laughs, and get to know the people who serve our community beyond their uniforms.

Opportunities like this help create trust, encourage open conversations, and show our youth the importance of building strong relationships within their community.

A big thank you to the officers who took the time to connect with our members! 💙

It was NFL Day at our Heritage Overlook and Meade Clubhouses! 🏈

Our youth got into the football spirit in their own way! Some showed up representing their favorite teams in their jerseys, while others got creative and designed jerseys of their own.

Days like this are a fun part of the Club experience. They give our youth opportunities to show off their personalities, get creative, connect over shared interests, and simply have fun together.

Whether they were repping their favorite team or inventing one of their own, everyone got into the spirit on NFL Day! 💙

🧘 A Severn Club favorite is BACK!

Our Mindfulness & Yoga Mini Club has returned for another school year, giving our youth a chance to slow down, move their bodies, reset, and learn healthy ways to manage their emotions and stress.

It’s one of our Severn members’ favorite Mini Clubs, and a great example of how BGCAA programming supports the whole child, from academic success and creativity to physical and emotional well-being.

Sometimes a little movement, mindfulness, and time to reset can make a big difference. 🧘‍♀️✨

🎨 Club on the Go got creative at New Village Academy!

Our team brought the Club experience to New Village Academy for some arts, crafts, and plenty of creativity. This time, our youth got to personalize their own notebooks … and no two turned out quite the same! 📓✨

Activities like this give young people a chance to express themselves, explore their creativity, and make something that feels completely their own.

That’s what Club on the Go is all about: bringing engaging BGCAA programming and caring mentors directly to youth in our community, wherever they are. 💙

📚 We asked some of our youth how the school year is going so far…

The answers? Good. Fun. Happy. Excellent. And for some, hard.

And we’re here for all of it. 💙

At BGCAA, our Clubs are a place where young people can celebrate the good days, get support through the tough ones, ask for help, spend time with friends, and have caring mentors in their corner.

Because every school year comes with highs and lows, and no young person should have to navigate them alone.

Here’s to a great year ahead. Whatever it may bring, we’ll be here for our community’s youth. 💙
