We are SO proud to share the official video for Company Season 9 with you all🖤

Congratulations to every dancer who brought this piece to life. This choreography bachata, heels, contemporary piece was built to challenge the binaries so often placed on bachata: you can be whoever you want to be and dance whatever role calls to you, regardless of what anyone assumes when they look at you. This piece is a celebration of that freedom, and these dancers embodied it fully.

Choreographers: @rjakubson , @rhyaroo , feat. @yaz.dances

What a night at Salsa on Alki! 🌊 BGC Dance Company got to bring our energy to the beach and dance alongside Seattle’s salsa community with the Puget Sound as our backdrop. There’s nothing like performing outdoors with the sun going down and a crowd ready to move with us.

Thank you to everyone who came out to watch, cheer, and dance along. Moments like these remind us why we love what we do. 💛

Whether you've taken a class with us, performed on our stages, or joined a past event, you've been part of this journey. Expect our BGC dance teams' season debut, guest performances from favorites across the Seattle dance community, and a night of social dancing and refreshments after the show.

We brought back the piece we lovingly call Cheetah Butts for one last encore, just for @queer_afro_latin_dance_fest , to close out the show Sunday night 💛

We made this one in honor of a member of our BGC family we lost. By the time we finished that final performance, it had become something even bigger than we planned: a tribute to a Seattle dancer we also lost. Dancing it that night, on that stage, in a room full of people who understood exactly what it meant, is something we'll hold onto for a long time.

This one was for both of them. Thank you to everyone who was there for it. taken in San Jose, California by @bgcdanceco

Taking it back to our performance at @queer_afro_latin_dance_fest ! The full video from BGC Dance Company is finally live 🌈💛

Every time we step onto a QALDF stage, we're reminded why this festival matters so much to us. We don't take it for granted, not the crowd, not the lineup, not the chance to dance full out in a room that gets it.

So much love for the festival organizers and for this Company, every single dancer who made this one count. taken in San Jose, California by @bgcdanceco

Season 7 for BGC Dance Movement, and our video from @queer_afro_latin_dance_fest is finally making its way to your feed 🌈✨

Seven seasons in, and the thing that still gets us every time is each other. This festival has become one of our favorite places to dance all year, not just for the stage but for the people we get to share it with. Grateful doesn't even cover it.

Endless gratitude to the festival organizers and to every Movement dancer who brought this to life. taken in San Jose, California by @bgcdanceco

Finally posting our full video from BGC Dance Expression's 5th season performance at @queer_afro_latin_dance_fest 🏳️‍🌈😍

June feels like a lifetime ago, but dancing in a space built by and for our community is the kind of full-circle moment that doesn't lose its shine just because we're three months late posting about it. There's nothing like moving in a room where you don't have to explain yourself first.

Thank you to the festival organizers for having us and every dancer on Expression who poured themselves into this one. taken in San Jose, California by @bgcdanceco

Throwback to a beautiful night at Soccer & Sound in Occidental Square! 🎉 Huge thank you to @fridaynighthiphop and @darkalinos for having BGC Dance Company out to share the stage under the summer sky. Dancing in community, surrounded by music, movement, and so much good energy is exactly why we do this. 💛

Grateful for events like this that bring Pioneer Square together through free, family-friendly art and culture. Here's to more nights like this one!
