Watching your kid struggle mentally might be one of the hardest parts of this sport.

Back home, Bretton rides great. He’s confident, fast, and looks like himself. Then we get to the big races, where he’s worked all year to be, and the pressure gets heavy.

As his dad, that’s hard for me to understand. I’ve always been wired to push harder when things get tough. I haven’t really dealt with that kind of mental battle, so my first instinct is to motivate him, push him, remind him what he’s capable of.

But I’m learning that sometimes pushing isn’t the answer.

And sometimes saying “just go have fun” isn’t the answer either.

So what is?

Maybe it’s just being there. Listening. Letting him feel what he feels without trying to fix it immediately. Reminding him that his results don’t change who he is, how proud we are of him, or how much we love watching him chase something this hard.

These pictures from Loretta’s mean a lot to me because they show the part of racing nobody really sees. The conversations before the gate drops. The nerves. The pressure. The moments where being his dad is more important than being his coach.

I don’t have all the answers, and I’m learning right alongside him.

One thing I do know: we’ll keep showing up together. Through the wins, the struggles, the tears, the lessons and everything in between me and mom always got his back!

11 years. ❤️

Through every season of life—the highs, the lows, the wins, the heartbreaks, the laughter, and the struggles—we’ve never stopped choosing each other.

Life isn’t always easy, but having you by my side has made every challenge worth facing. Thank you for standing beside me, believing in us, and never letting go of my hand.

Here’s to 11 amazing years of marriage, countless memories, and many more adventures still to come. No matter what life brings, I’ll always stand by your side.

I love you more than words can say. Happy Anniversary, @_krisxgonz ❤️🥂

Freedom isn’t free.

Today we celebrate the country we call home and the men and women who continue to build, maintain, and protect the infrastructure that keeps America running.

Proud to be part of an industry that answers the call—whether it’s blue skies or storm response.

Happy Fourth of July. 🇺🇸 Stay safe, enjoy your family, and never forget those who make our freedom possible.

🇺🇸 The dream is alive! #555 has officially earned a spot at the 2026 Loretta Lynn’s AMA Amateur National Championship.

Only 42 riders in each class make it to the Ranch, and we’re beyond grateful for the opportunity.

Now the journey continues. We’re looking for businesses, friends, and family who want to be part of the ride. Your support helps cover travel, training, race expenses, and gives your business exposure on our bike, jersey, team shirts, and social media.

If you’d like to partner with us, send me a DM

1 ticket punched to the Ranch! 🤘🏁

Day 1 motos were rough… 6th and 8th, bad starts, and a crash had us thinking about loading up and heading home. But quitting isn’t an option. You keep your head down, regroup, and keep pushing.

Moto 2s went way better with a moto win 🥇 and a 3rd 🥉. This 65 class is wild — honestly the top 6 kids can all win on any given day. That’s what makes it so fun and so intense.

Next stop: Hangtown… time to try and punch another ticket 🎟️

First boat day of the year and it was exactly what we needed. 🤘🏼

We moto all the time, but every once in a while mom and dad gotta put the moto shoes away and get out on the water to surf behind the @mbboats . 🌊☀️

Honestly, having the phone locked in the glove box all day felt good. With work, that never happens. No storms, barely anyone working, and only missed a couple calls… they can wait. Sometimes you need a solid reset and today was one of those days.

Good weather, good waves, good people, and a full tank of gas. Hard to beat that. 🍻#mboats #wake #lake #reels taken in Lake Berryessa by @bgridindirty
