Fast-rising dancehall artiste #Merkz is among the names being counted in the breakout artiste conversation so far this year, and his momentum shows no signs of slowing down.

His latest release, “Bitcoin,” is already making noise on the charts and currently holds the #1 spot on YouTube’s trending music videos in Jamaica.

Released just three days ago and produced by DNJ Records and Bhad Gad Records, the track is also climbing the Apple Music Top 25 playlist in Jamaica, where it currently sits at #9.

The success adds to what has already been a strong year for the Clarendon-born deejay, who continues to cement himself as one of dancehall’s fastest-rising new talents, with 2026 quickly becoming a defining breakout year for the artiste.
