The search for a leopard begins long before the sighting. 🐆📸
In the rugged landscapes of Jawai, Rajasthan, every moment is filled with anticipation as our guests scan the granite hills, caves, and thorny scrub for one of India’s most elusive big cats

Eyes scanning. Cameras ready. Every bush could hide a leopard. 👀🐆
Our experienced team knows that in Jawai Leopard Country, patience, knowledge, and years of experience can make all the difference when searching for a wild leopard.

When Leopard appears. 🐆✨

POV: You came to India looking for Leopards and found this !!!

This is Jawai. 🐆

A land of endless granite hills, ancient caves, thorny shrubs—and one of India’s most incredible populations of wild leopards.

No dense forests. No tall trees. Just a female leopard using the tiniest bit of cover to stalk her prey.

Nature is unbelievable. 🐆✨

And moments like this make flying halfway around the world completely worth it.

Want to experience the wild leopards of Jawai? Let Wildlife Sojourns take you there. 🇮🇳 taken in Jawai Rajasthan by @bhasmangmehta

One of the cutest encounters you can have in the forest—a curious little American black bear. 🐻
It’s hard not to smile when you come across a cub like this. Equal parts adorable and wild, these moments are a reminder that some of nature’s greatest treasures aren’t always the biggest or the fiercest—they’re often the ones that simply make you stop and appreciate the beauty of the wild 🫶🏻 taken in North Carolina by @bhasmangmehta

There is nothing quite like the adrenaline rush of watching a wild Royal Bengal Tiger emerge from the meadows and pause to mark her territory. Moments like these are what make a Tiger Safari in India one of the most unforgettable wildlife experiences on Earth.

Captured during one of our Wildlife Sojourns group wildlife photography tours to Tadoba National Park, this photograph remains one of my all-time favorites. Witnessing a tiger behaving naturally in its own habitat is a privilege that never gets old, and sharing these extraordinary encounters with fellow wildlife enthusiasts is why we do what we do.

If photographing wild tigers in their natural habitat is on your bucket list, let us take you there. Our expertly guided India wildlife tours and wildlife photography expeditions are designed for photographers, nature lovers, and adventure travelers seeking close encounters with the incredible Royal Bengal Tiger and other iconic Indian wildlife.

“The graceful Asiatic lioness — a vision of quiet strength and regal beauty. During my recent visit to India, I had the extraordinary privilege of watching this magnificent female walk calmly behind our safari vehicle. There was something profoundly humbling about her presence — powerful yet composed, wild yet serene. It was a moment of pure awe, one I will never forget. taken in Gir National Park by @bhasmangmehta

I was fortunate to spend some quality time photographing the famous Asiatic Lion duo Jay & Veeru during my trip to India back in Winter of 20204. Photographed this yearling in Alligator River. Yearlings are usually 1–2 years old, kind of like bear teenagers. They’re past the tiny-cub stage but not quite independent adults yet. Most yearlings still hang out with their mother, learning crucial survival skills like where to find food, how to climb trees, and which animals (and humans) to avoid. Well, clearly thank God he decided not to avoid me 🤪 taken in North Carolina by @bhasmangmehta

Look at the confidence in this cub’s eyes. It was such a privilege to photograph this bold little Asiatic Lion. The way he sat slightly apart from the rest of the pride, perched on a mound as if watching over the territory, was truly remarkable. taken in Gir National Park by @bhasmangmehta
