What a few weeks Birmingham has had!

We’ve explored historic buildings during Heritage Week, admired classic cars and buses at Brum Transport Fest, and celebrated all things Brummie at International Day of Birmingham. Back at Crowne Plaza Birmingham City Centre, it’s been a busy season of events and conferences too.

We’ve loved sharing ideas with our guests for places to visit and things to do while they’re here. So, as we settle into the new week, we’d love your help: what should we be telling them about next?

🚗 What a fantastic day at Brum Transport Fest on Hippodrome Square! ❤️

We were delighted to welcome the first-ever Brum Transport Fest to Southside on Saturday, with a fantastic display of classic cars from the @gccguk.

It was great to see so many people stopping by to admire the vehicles, meet the owners and hear the stories behind these lovingly maintained classics.

A big thank you to everyone who came along and helped make it such a brilliant day!

Thank you to everyone who came along, explored, asked questions and shared their own stories with us this year. From the Jewellery Quarter to Bournville, Sutton Coldfield to Yardley, it's been brilliant to see so many of you connecting with the people, places and stories that make Birmingham what it is.

🏘️ Exploring Austin Village for Heritage Week!

Today I joined a heritage tour around Austin Village, discovering the history behind this unique part of Birmingham. One of the highlights was getting the chance to step inside some of the homes and see how they’ve changed over the years.

A great way to see a different side of Birmingham and learn more about the people and stories behind the village. 📸

What an amazing Walking Tour on the Stratford Rd again

People from many different backgrounds, great to know that 3 had specifically travelled from Scotland just for the tour.

Feedback is humbling especially when all that attend say it’s beyond what they expected and they now have a different respect, regard and perspective of the road and didn’t realise the diversity, the richness in stories colour and culture.
