Despite all the doubt from others, I accomplished the goal I set myself back when I was 15🎓

On May 9, 2025, at 10 AM, I received my Master’s in Business Administration from THEE ILLUSTRIOUS Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University🐶

Thank you AAMU for shaping me into the man I am today. Moving from the west coast to the south was not an easy adjustment, especially during the pandemic.
Leaving my friends and family back home took a big toll on me for some time. “The Hill” created a family for me that I never knew I needed. I will forever cherish the time I spent here growing mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

Don’t let the people that will eventually be your past define what you want your future to be.

First pic: A note Alex Haley wrote to my grandmother when they met back in the summer of 1986.

Fast forward 38 years later, I got to spend time on Alex Haley’s Farm in Clinton, TN, where a lot of authors, activists, and artists would congregate and strategize.

I cannot thank the @nbafoundation @childdefender1973 and @fearless_dialogues enough. My time spent there with the other NBA HBCU Fellows reflecting on our 10 week fellowship experience was very valuable and enlightening.

Told y’all I was going to make it to the league!
I’m proud to announce that I am one of the 71 out of almost 11,000 applicants chosen to participate in the
2024 NBA x HBCU fellowship program representing my HBCU Alabama A&M University. This summer I will be serving as a finance intern for the @brooklynnets I would like to send my thanks to the @nbafoundation @fearless_dialogues and @childdefender1973 for this program and the opportunity of a lifetime. I had such an amazing time at the orientation in meeting the other fellows, learning more about myself, and grasping all the tools I need to succeed in my career as I embark on this opportunity of a lifetime. I am one step closer to my dream.
