Lots of people have asked us where they can try our food locally and we are finally going to start doing a few pop-up appearances in the Buckingham area this summer. First off, we’re heading to The Wheatsheaf in Maids Moreton on Saturday 11th July. Come along and sample our range of skewers and crispy smashed tatties! We’ll be serving from 3pm, until we sell out. See you there! #firefood #livefirecooking #outdooreats #openfirecooking by @bhp.ltd

|| Queen Marking || β—‡ β—‡ β—‡ Did you know that some people mark their queens so you know how old they are and so you can spot them easily amongst all the other bees! There is a 5 year colour rotation by birth year: 2022: Yellow 2023: Red 2024: Green 2025: Blue 2026: White This years queens are all marked white! You must be very gentle when handling them, and only mark their thorax. The paint does not harm them in anyway, and is no different than a human painting their nails! #queenbees #beefarming #Beekeeping #viralreels #viralvideos taken in Oakfield Honey Farm by @bhp.ltd

|| Everyone Needs a Helping hand || β—‡ β—‡ β—‡ When our bees have outgrown their over-wintered home, we move them into a full size hive to expand over summer. We shake out the leftover bees at the entrance and place sticks to act like ladders for the younger bees to climb back up into their new hive. #beefarming #Beekeeping #honeybees taken in Oakfield Honey Farm by @bhp.ltd
