People travelled from every valley. Those who could not be there gathered around radios and televisions and offered prayers, celebrating with a joy the nation still remembers. Fifteen years on, that feeling has only deepened. We have rejoiced at the birth of each of Their Royal Highnesses, and we have watched Their Majesties carry this nation through good years and hard ones, side by side. Their union has been an example to all of us of what devotion, patience and service look like in practice. At Bhutan Airlines, we fly families home every day: for weddings, for reunions, for the moments that matter most. Today, we simply join every Bhutanese family in giving thanks for the family at the heart of our Kingdom. On 1st November, along the Mau Chhu river in southern Bhutan, the Kingdom will witness something it has never seen before. One hundred and eight stupas, each fifteen metres tall, will rise together in a single day. Forty thousand hands will raise them: monks and schoolchildren, farmers and grandmothers, Bhutanese from every valley and friends from across the world. Each stupa will be filled with prayers and sacred texts and dedicated to the wellbeing of all beings. The prayers and celebrations will continue in Gelephu until 04th November.
