We visited the new cafe, Foamé, a couple of times to try out their matchas & coffees as they looked right up our street but unfortunately we weren’t too impressed..

We tried the Tiramisu matcha, Sea Salt Maple matcha, Strawberry Glaze smoothie, Cookie Butter latte and Spanish Latte (not pictured).

Although they were visually appealing, the taste was underwhelming..
All the matchas and Cookie Butter Latte tasted similar despite being different flavours. The Spanish Lattes were barely sweet and not even full which isnt what you want when you’re spending £7+ for a cup.
However, their sandos do look good so we may pop back in for those but not in a rush.

Popped into try one of the newest places in the Birmingham food and drinks scene… Slurp!
With a range of dirty sodas, matchas and brews on offer, this is definitely an innovative concept.
We went for:
- Golden Passion ✨ - 6/10
- Strawberry Shortcake Matcha 🍓- 6.5/10
- Cosmic Cherry 🍒 - 7/10
- Raspberry White Chocolate Latte 🍫 - 8/10
- Lemon Passionfruit Soda 🍋- 6/10

We recently visited @pyaalibyjaan and we were impressed ✨🥞
This cute little cafe is a perfect addition to the area and they have a great menu on offer with Turkish Eggs, Full English and a Shakshuka.
The Spanish Latte missed the mark slightly but the Karak Chai with almond milk was probably the best we’ve had!
The customer service was impeccable, we felt so welcome and the staff were very friendly
They bought over fresh warm cookies for us at the end of our meal which were soo gooey and moreish 💛

Iftar at MEAA, Kings Heath ✨🌙

This Ramadan, we booked ourselves in for the Iftar Set Menu at MEAA.

Firstly, we have to commend the customer service! The staff are so attentive, polite and always made sure you were happy with everything without being overbearing.

As for the food, the 3-course Iftar menu came with complimentary lentil soup & fruit to break your fast, which tasted great, down to the garnish on top!

For starters, we chose the mezze selection served with homemade bread - light, fluffy & warm, dipped into our favourite of the 3 dips, Baba Ganoush🍆. Soft, pulled Beef Sigara wrapped in crisp pastry with a spicy kick and a creamy burrata with bruscetta all were a great start to our dinner.

As for mains, the lamb shank was tender & hearty. However, the Kofte was lacklustre abit dry.

For the sweet treat lovers(🙋🏽‍♀️), we had to have the Sticky Toffee Pudding! It wasn't the best, but certainly not the worst..
We were also given a Pistacho Tiramisu to try, which stole the show! Creamy & smooth with the right amount of nuttiness, highly recommend!🤌🏽

📍Eastern Jam, Jewellery Quarter

Nestled away in the streets of Jewellery Quarter is the newest addition to the Birmingham brunch scene, Eastern Jam.

They have an extensive selection of food including sandwiches, steaks and plenty of options in the all day breakfast section.

We opted for the Avocado Toast with poached/scrambled eggs and halloumi. The portions were generous and the food was really good.

Unfortunately, the caramel latte wasn’t the best and I wasn’t a fan but the service was impeccable and the food was nice so this place gets a thumbs up from us!

Piping hot, cheesy pizza?! Yes please🤤🍕🧀

Tops Pizza has an extensive pizza menu that can satisfy anyone, along with delicious sides and desserts, too!

We tried:

-Tops Club Deep Pan Pizza 🍕
- Vegi Hot, half with chicken & Stuffed Crust🍕
- BBQ Wings
- Curly Fries
- Cheesy Nachos
The food was delicious and fresh, the service was friendly and accommodating, and we would recommend a visit(or delivery🚚)

Looking for some winter warmers?

@theacaishackltd have an exclusive menu perfect for the colder seasons ahead! ❄️

We tried their Jam and Coconut Sponge, Sprinkle Cake & Apple Crumble, all served with warm custard😋 along with the rich, sweet Kit Kat Hot Chocolate🍫 (available in other flavours too)

The cakes are baked in house and we could definitely taste the difference! Perfect rainy day sweet treats☔️

📍 Chaa Biskut, Birmingham

We recently visited Chaa Biskut in Birmingham which is a new brunch cafe with a menu packed full of dishes you’d find on the streets of India 🇮🇳☕🛺

We went for a selection of light bites including Pav Bhaji, Papdi Chaat and a Spicy Chicken Sandwich which were all nice.
The Papdi Chaat was incredibly moreish and bursting with flavour however I felt like the Pav Bhaji could’ve had a bit more to really pack a punch. Their Chaa however was delicious, everything you want in a cup and brewed to perfection ☕️🤍
The wait was a little long (we went on a weekend!), but overall this is a nice spot to get that desi fix!

Staycation > Vacation

We went off the grid for a few days and had a lovely time at Romano Retreat and Spa. Nestled away in Lancashire and surrounded by hills, greenery, and the cutest animals. This was the perfect place for our family to enjoy some quality time and make core memories🤍

This house had a beautiful kitchen, cosy living space, sauna, steam room, two hot tubs, and a huge party room! We loved it so much that we didn’t want to leave!

We booked this amazing house with @celebrationcottages, which was super easy and were able to reach out to them about anything during our stay.

Take this as your sign to book a staycation!
