Eight years ago today, I became a mum.
Lately, I’ve found myself watching my children on their little adventures; running through the golden hour light, hands full of dandelions and hair full of sand. They have no idea I’m sitting there memorising every single detail.

As mums, we often find ourselves torn between soaking up these precious moments and working tirelessly to build a future for our children.. It has taken me years to realise that you can’t perfectly balance both. Not really. Not without something breaking.

Every time I’ve tried to walk away from my business, I’ve been pulled back - by purpose, by provision, and by the very love that made me want to give them the world in the first place.

But something has changed, I’m finally admitting the struggle out loud. I’m done silently carrying it at the expense of my own health. We might appear “offline” on social media, but as a business owners you never truly switch off, and I just know I can’t carry that guilt around any longer.

What lies ahead is entirely uncharted territory, and for the first time, I’m content with not having every single step mapped out. Beautiful changes are coming for both my business and my family, and I am so ready to embrace this next chapter.

2012 vs 2026 - the packaging looks a little different but those personalised name tags? They are the proof that the gratitude and consideration for every customer is just as true today as it was back then. (Feels like a full circle moment..)

Protecting my peace, and taking an intentional step back reminded me that my purpose isn’t found in a spreadsheet, but in the heart I put into what I do.

So a reminder to anyone reading this.. we aren’t defined by what we have achieved, but rather by how we make others feel through our character and etiquette. Now that we’ve entered these final, most beautiful nights, I am focusing on maximising that intention. It is about slowing down to be present, and remembering that our legacy is built on the foundations of what we pour into others. That’s what truly matters.

May Allah swt accept our prayers and efforts, and may we attain closeness to Him swt like never before. Allah humma ameen. by @biahcollective

There are no words to describe the serenity and peace in a home during Ramadan (when the kids aren’t bickering🙈). Perhaps because it’s where we plant the seeds of faith in our children and find our own strength in Allah swt’s names.

Being a mum means carrying a lot of love, worry, and hope but no matter how heavy life feels, investing in our children and keeping Jannah as the main goal makes every step worth it inshaAllah. A reminder to myself first and foremost 💕

Salaam beautiful Sisters! Yes I’ve been MIA, but no I’m not apologising this time.. it’s been an intentional pause as we shift how we do things around here. (The outcome of many lengthy business strategy/therapy sessions!)

To those who messaged to check in (or to find out if there’s an upcoming launch) I love you from the bottom of my heart. I promised myself I will protect my peace moving forward and it already feels SO liberating!

Thank you all for being so understanding, I pray I can finally find the balance that allows me to pour into the business in a healthy and constructive manner, without compromising on other things that I hold so close to my heart.

“The perfect place to switch off and enjoy family time” when in fact the reality is closer to me making memories with family whilst back in the studio:

- consignments are stuck in places I can’t track
- website migrations causing chaos to orders
- Ramadan collection that is currently drowning in setbacks
- our production manager falling ill with typhoid
- my children telling me they’d rather we had no money then see me work 😔

And the list goes on.. but Alhamdulillah if there’s ONE thing I’m taking into the new year it’s transparency/accountability! It may have been quiet on social media but it’s been far from it but behind the scenes.

For anyone else in the thick of it - whether that’s with work, your marriage, your family or just life in general; I’m with you, I’m praying for you and we’ve got this.
Always remember that as scary or overwhelming as it may feel, as long as we have Allah swt, we have everything we will ever need. (A reminder to myself first and foremost 💖) by @biahcollective
