My biggest life lesson from skating has been the dumber you look, the better you’re doing.

The fear of looking stupid or silly is keeping you from trying anything fun

And doing it alone sometimes is better than not doing it all
I won’t miss out on fun because I don’t have someone to go with, which means I won’t miss out on opportunities

And for the record, I am challenging myself, pulling myself out of my comfort zone and putting my body through unnecessary falls

Pompeii, you were f*cking weird.

Maybe it was the fact that we were dehydrated.
Or maybe coming from Alberona, Pompeii just didn’t compare.
It was probably the fact that they kept showing me bodies covered in volcanic ash that were found in the wreckage.

You were interesting and kinda beautiful, Pompeii… but so weird.

Glad to say I’ve gone. Probably won’t be back.

Alberona, ti amo 💙
The place my grandparents and great grandparents and great great grandparents lived.
In an alternate reality I live here too
Coming here felt like being a fish out of water but it also felt like coming to a familiar place at the same time.
It felt so fricken teency tiny and also like this massive vast landmark
It felt so quiet but so hugely important
A place I’ve only seen photos of and heard stories about
And the most ironic thing is when I got there, I mostly looked out to the hills
Because all the photos I have seen are in the town or of the town from a distance but I can’t recall seeing photos of the views
They told me it was beautiful there but never did I imagine this
The photos have never ever done it justice and I don’t think they ever will
