Over the past several months, I have felt so much love and support as I prepared for and began serving a mission. I will always be grateful for everyone who celebrated with me, encouraged me, prayed for me, and helped me get to that point. Your kindness has meant more to me than I can express.

After a great deal of prayer, counseling with priesthood authority, and soul-searching, I have made the difficult decision to step away from missionary service and pursue a different direction that I feel Heavenly Father is leading me toward. This has not been a quick or easy decision, and it comes after much reflection and faith.

I know this news may come as a surprise, especially since many of you believed I was currently serving. Because I value your love and friendship, I wanted to take accountability for my decision and make sure everyone heard it from me!

I also know people may naturally wonder “why” and the assumptions happen. While I don’t feel the need to share every detail publicly, I do want to say that this decision truly was not made because of any worldly desires or because of worthiness problems. Sometimes the most faithful choice is to follow the quiet direction God gives us, even when it leads somewhere different than we originally planned.

I still have a strong testimony of Jesus Christ, His gospel, and His love for me and I plan to keep growing and converting myself. If anything, this experience has taught me to trust Him more deeply, even when the path is unexpected and hard.

Thank you for continuing to love and support me. I’m excited for what lies ahead and look forward to this next chapter with hope, faith, and gratitude. by @biancabrob
