A very special milestone at the London office this morning, welcoming Fanny and Loic Jamet @domainejamet before they headed off with our team to visit some of our most valued on-trade customers. A rare and truly memorable occasion and for many the first visit in over 10 years.

After an educational trip to Rioja, our Wine Educator Matt Correal, was most taken by the white wines coming out of the region.

Turns out his palate was onto something… white Rioja wines are on the rise! As global consumption generally turns away from red wines, native white varieties from the region are having a resurgence in planting and popularity.

Last week our buying and trade marketing teams headed to the city of love (and wine!) for Wine Paris.
Our Wine Agency Assistant, @holly_hartree had a busy few days meeting with producers new and old, tasting through wines, learning trends and innovations, and even managing to find some time to indulge in the city’s culinary delights. She shared with us a few highlights from her trip:
• A visit to the historic @lachablisienne1923 Case St Paul where their Grand Crus are burrowed away in vaulted cellars.
• Uncovering global wine trends, where regenerative viticulture is front and centre, as more wineries aim for certification and increased transparency on their sustainable credentials.
• Tasting old vintages, including rare back vintages of the Rosé des Riceys 2012 and 2005 from @domainealexandrebonnet
• A lunch to remember with @chateauroubine in a Corsican restaurant within the halls at Wine Pairs.
• Having fantastic conversations with our producers including @quintapedraalta , @casademouraz and @domainedumeteore .
