I love making this cake. It’s always good ...even when it’s baked at the wrong temperature (like today). It’s always lemony ...today it was elderflower and lemon. Perfect pair!

I love watching the lifecycle of plants. Some have shorter lifespans than others, so we just need to enjoy them while they’re here!

I love buying my seeds from a local grower. She has no shop, other than the farmers market and no mobile phone. Her seeds are organic and non-GMO. She loves what she does and it shows as every seed germinates beautifully!

Feeling grateful to have gone for a meander around the farm earlier in the week and found three elderflower shrubs. I’ve now made three batches of Elderflower Syrup. Here, it’s mixed with a little vodka and sparkling water!

I really want to nail the centering of clay on a wheel. Every time I plop down a ball of clay, it’s a little off center. I then stop, regulate my breathing, center my thoughts and body then let the clay be the extension of that. When those align, the clay almost centers itself. Same is true for most aspects in life ...when we can center internally, the external stuff seems less off-kilter!

First elderflower harvest. A little over-the-moon to have found three shrubs growing on the boundary.

Our Auckland skies are so eerie from all the smoke coming from our Australian neighbors. Thinking of you and hoping you have rain and lower temperatures just now!

The second Sunday of December at 19h marks a worldwide candlelight vigil to remember children who have left this world too soon. I was a bit late this year, however you were in my thoughts, Amy + Nick. Love you and Sweet Baby D!

As seen on a New York City street a few years ago. Says it all, though!
