Homophobic, body-negative, misogyny. You’re probably wondering how we got here. #TEAMAF is how. A group chat dedicated to people pleasing by tearing down like-minded enthusiasts (although I think most people wouldn’t say they categorise themselves alongside the AF Team). The story tells itself really.. I post about how I think brands that use Ai are cringe & they should have the worst weekend - okay, yeah the worst weekend bit was out of order, I was just having a joke, lesson learnt, that’s not cool to say and people will take offence, I apologise. But what happened after that is the real interesting bit..imagine it’s 1am & you get a message telling you how you’re the topic of convo in a group chat because of your recent posts. There’s a flood of screenshots filling your inbox with multiple individuals making remarks on not only you (the original poster), your partner and your friends. People who have been in your inbox supporting you with some backlash about you weight recently, that you have seen recently and spoken to like normal, people that you would see at shows, people to comment on your posts… you get the point. And then.. you see it, James calls you a fat lesbian with no friends over a story that doesn’t even mention him nor his brand. Now idk about you but as a big brand (because they are a big brand) you would ignore the small fish EVEN if they had tagged you.. not James, the Owner of AutoFinesse. I intend to share this screenshot .. not to cause harm to James business (he’s done that himself) but to advocate against Homophobia, body shaming & misogyny. Imagine being at the forefront of a business and making a statement like that over something that didn’t mention you. What’s worse is his sponsors were then also looking for address’ of myself & some close friends that stood up to me.. a middle aged man successfully found a friends address & messaged him to tell him he had it…please bare in mind.. all over a story post that didn’t mention AutoFinesse or anyone affiliated. James has since been silent. Not even a sorry, not a single member of the group called him out and worse they’re sticking up for him. Sickening. taken in England, UK by @big.abs
