Roots and Resonance🎬

*We are shaped by where we begin, and transformed by what we carry forward.*

This documentary started as an idea and became something we lived through. Every shoot day taught us something new about the people we were filming and honestly, about ourselves too. There were moments behind the camera that hit different than we expected, quiet conversations, unscripted laughter, stories that unfolded in ways we couldn’t have planned for.

That’s the thing about documenting real people and real journeys, you go in with a vision, but the story ends up showing you things you didn’t know you were looking for.

To everyone who opened up, showed up, and trusted us with their stories, thank you. This film exists because you let us in. 🙏

We can’t wait for you to see this. It’s been months in the making and we’re so close to sharing it with the world. Stay tuned 👀

Yesterday we opened an exhibition for @mugabo_art, a self-taught Rwandan artist based in Poznań. 🎨

His textured abstract paintings and handmade paper crafts from recycled newspapers carry memory, emotion, and transformation.

On view for the next 2 weeks. Come see it in person.

The groom recorded a song for his bride…

And he didn’t want us to simply make a wedding video 🎥

He wanted a music video.

So we turned their wedding day into a story, one that lives somewhere between a wedding film and a love song.

Here’s a little BTS of how we brought the vision to life.

Wait till you see the final edit. 🎬❤️

Some moments don’t reveal what they meant until they’re already behind us. ⏳

Maybe that’s the strange beauty of life, we keep moving forward, only to look back and realize what we were living through, what we were becoming, and what we couldn’t see while we were there. taken in Cornwall, United Kingdom by @big.studios
