I didn’t just cut my hair… I released a chapter of my life.

These dreads were with me through some of the hardest moments I’ve ever had to survive. I lost my son Marcus. I lost my sister Tiya. I carried memories, pain, grief, love, and years of life with me while I wore them.

But sometimes moving forward requires you to let go of something you’ve been carrying—even when it was once a part of you.

Cutting my hair doesn’t erase where I’ve been or the people I love. I carry that love with me forever. ❤️

This was about feeling lighter. Feeling free. Giving myself permission to change. A fresh cut. A fresh chapter. A renewed version of me.

You can honor your past without living there. Sometimes letting go is how you make room for who you’re becoming.

New chapter. Same love. Lighter spirit.
