Today would’ve been my parents 60th wedding anniversary! We lost mom a month ago, but we’re still gonna take Dad out and celebrate that amazing milestone today. I don’t think that type of love really exist in the world today anymore. The minute times get tough people just quit on their relationship. A lot of times they’re too busy chasing the false reality or the highlights of somebody else’s relationship that they might see on social media. It’s sad but true.
When I think about it growing up, people getting a divorce was really a very rare thing that you didn’t hear about that often. In fact, I only knew of a couple instances myself. Couples stuck in there and stay together. They were far less selfish back then than they are today. It wasn’t just about you and how you feel, it was about what’s best for the family. They took their wedding vows seriously it meant something to them so they stayed worked hard and found a way or made one, but they didn’t quit on each other. #anniversary #reallove. by @big_redman44

Yesterday, I lost my mother, she fell asleep in death after a long hard, Battle against cancer and dementia. Unfortunately in this world today because of the many diseases that we and our loved ones can potentially face, falling asleep in death can often be seen as a merciful end. This was the case with my mother. I no longer wanted to see her struggle with her illness. It’s a horrible thing to see someone that you love so much physically waste away. Although I and my family will miss her more than words can say, knowing that she no longer has to fight against such a horrible opponent, like cancer, does bring a measure of relief to us as a family.
I will always remember my mother as the strong beautiful wife and mother that she was. I will carry her love and memory with me forever in my mind and my heart. I was fortunate enough to have my mother for a long time in my life, longer than many others that I know. Unfortunately they lost theirs way too early in their life. So to have had her for so long, was truly a blessing and I am extremely thankful .🙏🏽
I love you, Mamma and as I said to you the last time that I was able to speak to you. I pray that when it’s said all done, I will have lived a life that can be seen as good enough in the eyes of the TRUE GOD that he will allow me, to see you again one day in paradise! 💔 #mamma #mother #thehope by @big_redman44

DAMN! Ok, I give up. I finally acquiesce to the fact that I need reading glasses now they keep making these damn words smaller, and smaller I think. 😂 I’ve had Eagle vision my whole life. I still do as long as it’s more than a foot or two from my face, but these damn words on a piece or in this case on the phone or computer screen,… is No Bueno anymore! by @big_redman44

#tbt This picture was during the pandemic which now seems like a long time ago. The funny thing is when I hear other people talk about their experience of being shut in during that time. It wasn’t exactly that way here in ATL. We never shut down. I was still going to work every day. Then working clubs every night still going out eating at restaurants and bars. I guess we’re just built different down here! by @big_redman44
