“Maybe in the next world…002” 1. Hold On 2. by @biganimaltheory

Maybe in the next world… 002 1. Hold On — Big Animal Theory & phritz 2. Friends — Big Animal Theory & phritz Out 29 July. The second release in the Maybe in the next world… series. These two tracks were made with phritz between 2024 and 2025. I opened my Boiler Room set with both of them and the response on the dancefloor was incredible. I’d been waiting for the right moment and the right way to release these songs, and this series finally gave them a home. Really happy to finally share them with you. by @biganimaltheory

“Maybe in the next world… 001” Launch Exhibition 6月20日 (土)* @studio_p.r.o 📍 東京都世田谷区松原3-41-3 Start: 12:00 Close: 21:00 16:00 Msayoshi Suzuki [Cassette MTR + Modular Live] 17:00 Rakuya Katagiri [Vinyl DJ] 19:00 Big Animal Theory [DJ] Free Entrance/Drink All JPY 500 *6月21日追記 延長することにした。 6月24日(水) - 6月28日(日) Open: 12:00 Close: 18:00 “Maybe in the next world…” Maybe in the next world…” by @biganimaltheory

“Maybe in the next world…001” 1. Unimaginable feat. Panic Pat 2. Broken VIP feat. Frost & Panic Pat Recording: Frost Mixing: UKD (Double Clapperz) Mastering: Matt Colton at Metropolis Studios Cassette duplication: Big Animal Theory and Studio P.R.O. Artwork: Rakuya Katagiri Out now on all the streaming places, link in bio. Only 33 cassette copies are available on Bandcamp. All hand-duplicated and hand-printed by my friends and myself. Let me talk a little about this new series “Maybe in the next world…”. Over the past two years, I’ve made a lot of music with friends from different parts of the world, and through this series, I’m going to release those collaborations alongside some solo music. Every time I make music with friends, I find myself going back to my roots, emo, screamo, and hardcore. For this series, I wanted to bring back that DIY spirit as much as possible. That’s why I’m releasing the music in physical formats like cassettes and vinyl, in a way that feels personal, handmade, and close to the communities that shaped me. And I’m so happy to finally share the songs I made with Frost and Panic Pat in 2024 and 2025. I’ve been a huge fan of both of them ever since my friend showed me their music in 2024, especially “Panic at the Afters” by Pat and Frost. I made the instrumental for “Unimaginable” in December 2024 while imagining Pat spitting over the beat. After working with Frost on the “Broken Remix” in early 2025, I shared the “Unimaginable” instrumental with him. He told me he could send it to someone if I had anyone in mind, and I immediately said I wanted Pat on it. Frost sent it to Pat right away, and a week later Pat sent back his vocals. I made “Broken VIP” using Pat’s vocals and elements from Frost’s “Broken Remix” for the biggest live set I played in November 2025. When I played it live, people seemed to really enjoy it, and that made me feel like we got it right. We’d wanted to release these songs for a long time, and I kept thinking about how to make it feel special. When I came up with the idea for the “Maybe in the next world…” series, I knew “Unimaginable” and “Broken VIP” had to be the first release. x Big Animal Theory by @biganimaltheory

Big Animal Theoryとpapluの新曲がOld Habits @oldhabitsuk から出る。 HackneyのGlove That Fits。 A new track by Big Animal Theory and paplu is coming out on Old Habits. In the spring of 2023, we first met at a Parallels show at Hackney’s Glove That Fits. I think it was probably the most fun event I’ve ever been to. Afterwards, we went to an event at MOT hosted by Kyso and Pastdown to see Ice Wing, Neffa-T and Chimpo. A year later, we ran into each other again at the final Parallels show. Not long after that, paplu also started making music, and we began sending demos back and forth. It was like Big Animal Theory was Obi-Wan and paplu was Luke, and somehow a few songs just came together naturally. It’s only on Bandcamp, but our new track will be out this Friday. Hope you enjoy it. Big Animal Theory & paplu by @biganimaltheory
