Curious antics from my MS and HS art classes

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

We have been doing hand studies and contour line drawing lately in class and I remembered the great Egon Schiele. So we did quick continuous line drawings of his self-portrait 1910. So fun and very 1980s…

🎨 One more DonorsChoose ask from the art room!
Thanks to everyone who helped get my last classroom project funded—I really appreciate the support. I’m back with a smaller project for something I think could be a pretty exciting addition to our art room: two ChompSaws!

These are student-friendly tools that let kids safely cut and shape cardboard, opening up all kinds of possibilities for sculpture, wearable art, architectural models, stage sets and props, design challenges, exhibitions, and STEAM projects throughout our school.

We use a lot of cardboard already, and I’d love to give students the ability to take their ideas further—to actually design, build, experiment, problem-solve, and make things at a larger scale.

If you’re able to contribute, any amount helps get us closer (ALL donations are automatically doubled right now!) And sharing the project helps too!

LINK in bio!

Thanks, as always, for supporting my students and our art program! ❤️

Hi, I’m raising funds for my middle and high school art students to get some much-needed classroom supplies at the start of the school year—quality watercolor pencils, storage bins, circle cutters for collage projects, and a rolling shelf to keep all those clay creations safe and organized.
These are simple things, but they make a big difference in how much time students have to create, experiment, and explore. If you’d like to support our young artists, even a small contribution helps! Link in bio. Thank you. ❤️

PS. Please check out some of the projects that these materials would help with. by @bigarttable

It’s been ceiling tile painting time in the art room lately. This tradition was started by the former art teacher at my school and we’ve kept it going. Mostly seniors want to do one before they graduate but a few bold sophomores and juniors have joined in this year. Here are a few in the beginning stages. More updates to come.

I want to make sure my students have the materials and experiences they need to create and succeed, so I made a request on DonorsChoose: Lead, Paint, Inspire. If you chip in to help my students, you'll get awesome photos and our heartfelt thanks.
