Wow wow wow, what a wild last four days this has been for us…. I’m so incredibly thankful to have been called for two categories at this weekend‘s @longbeachbbqfest and I think I’m still riding the high of it, even though the adrenaline of the weekend has worn off and I’m fading out 😝

I was definitely surprised when I heard that we placed, and when the first call came for placing in the best sides category with our brisket chili, I was ready to take full credit for that one as this has been a mainstay on our menu for a while now. And it is delicious!

However, when we got the second call for placing in the best sausage category, I was even more surprised because it was completely unexpected. While I have been making jalapeño cheddar sausage for a couple years now, I really need to pay homage and give credit to Eric Palmore with @whiteoakcraftbbq for helping me to up my sausage game and working with me to perfect the recipe and workflow. For all of us in the BBQ family who have the patience and meticulousness for making the perfect sausage link, you know what a daunting and labor of love process this can be, so getting recognized for this award really meant everything. Thank you so much Eric, you’re a friend and real one!!!

Congrats to the the other BBQ teams who shared the stage with us, you’re all masters of the craft and continue to push me to keep refining things day by day.

I will be posting more content in the week to come as it’s been a whirlwind and I have way too much content to sift through. I just wanna thank everyone for coming out, but I especially want to thank my team for holding down the fort and allowing us to do what we do!!! Big shout out to @rooster.pit.co for coming in and being an absolute boss on the smoker he built for us while we went through the event, can’t talk highly enough about this guy and the contributions he made this weekend! If yall don’t follow @rooster.pit.co , make sure to do so now as he’s firmly back in the game!

That’s all I got for now. Have a great rest of your evening and I’ll talk to you soon. PEACE!!!! by @bigbriansmeats

Everyone who knows me knows that I’m not one for speeches (yeah right!) so here goes -

As I close the book on 2025 and look forward to 2026, my family and I are super thankful for all the love and support @bigbriansmeats has received over the past 3 1/2 years of being in business.

We experienced a ton of growth and success for our lil family run business in 2025 and are excited for what’s to come in the new year! Being part of a community of passionate and talented individuals is what keeps driving me…well that and helping to support a family!! 🤣🤣

To all our loyal customers who have been with us since day 1 and all the new customers we’ve met in the past year, YOU are the reason we keep grinding to get better and better!!! We literally could not do this without y’all and we will continue to push ourselves to bring you consistent quality each and every time. You’re all family to us!!!

Thank you again to everyone and we look forward to continuing to cook for you in 2026!!! PEACE!!!

Last Sunday, we collaborated with @syncopatedbrewing and @bigbriansmeats for a special joint celebration:
🐶 🍻 Barktoberfest
&
🥩 🍖 Big Brian’s Meats 4-Year Anniversary!! (I hear there’s a store-front coming soon 👀)

We were lucky to be joined by legacy Jaycee member and current Lakewood Mayor @councilmemberjeffwood !

Thank you neighbors for making it out to spend the afternoon with us: drinks, music, food, dogs, vibes 😎 all while supporting a good cause.

Your generosity raised hundreds of dollars for @animalbalance, an organization dedicated to reducing shelter capacity and saving lives. Their work focuses on reducing overpopulation by offering free pop-up spay and neuter clinics for underserved and rural communities. Animal Balance deploys Mobile Animal Sterilization Hospital (MASH) clinics across the country and world.

Outdated California regulations limited the full scope of the MASH clinic model, until now.

Thanks to AB2010 (authored by @asmesmeraldasoria and signed by @cagovernor Gavin Newsom), Animal Balance as well as organizations with the same mission have the ability to rapidly expand in order to address the pet overpopulation crisis head on.

Thank you residents, neighbors, and friends. We hope to see you at Barktoberfest27! by @bigbriansmeats
