On January 20th 2025, (MLK Day)

I was given the opportunity to HOST🎤 my FIRST ever panel….. the MLK ChangeMakers Event at the legendary @apollotheater .

I remember in my youth, I could barely be able to articulate myself. I remember pulling out my hair in anger and frustration. I remember @iamyasanlee telling me to take my time, as she was always eager to listen….

But-Oh, the goodness of the LORD is unfathomable!So Behold, the revelation and the gifts that God has given me with the art of journalism!! I’ve done things I have only dreamed of, things I never thought I was capable of.

“They’ll never listen to you”
“You’re just a black girl”
“You don’t talk like a journalist”
“You’re not professional enough” and blah blah blah

Continue to amplify GOD and watch GOD amplify you just the way YOU ARE. Never change, never conform.

Your voice matters Never stop using it.
