The Maker- full version with Rick Mitarotonda

I needed to post so this can live on the grid forever.

My favorite parts were the crowd reaction when Rick first opens his mouth to sing. It’s like we all heard an angel singing or something. And my other favorite parts are all of Dave’s smiles, head nods, and encouragement he was giving Rick throughout. It was priceless.

A total dream☺️

Thank you @volta_technologies_inc for streaming so I can completely get lost in it and not worry about footage🙏🏽

🪿TODAY IN GOOSE HISTORY ⭐️

On October 15, 2020, Goose brought a little NRBQ to Legend Valley in Thornville, Ohio.

Howard Johnson’s Got His Ho-Jo Working was originally released as a single by NRBQ from their 1972 album Scraps, nearly five decades before Goose put their own spin on the quirky rock ’n’ roll classic.

The cover made just two appearances in 2020, debuting in West Yarmouth, Massachusetts and then reappearing a month later in Thornville, Ohio

Goose played this one five times (twice in 2020, twice in 2023, and once in 2024) but it hasn’t reappeared since June of 2024.

🔥 WHICH ONE ARE YOU PICKING?

These are the 5 longest Goose performances of 2026 so far and there are some serious heaters on here.

29+ minutes of Big Modern! in London.
28+ minutes of Madhuvan in Stanford.
27+ minutes of Good2B, Animal, Arrow, Dripfield…

If you could drop into the crowd for ONE of these, which are you taking? 👀

🪿TODAY IN GOOSE HISTORY ⭐️

On October 6, 2023, Goose returned to Red Rocks for night two of their second-ever trip to the iconic venue and brought some Prince with them.

I Would Die 4 U made its Goose debut. 💜

It was the band’s first-ever Prince cover, with Rick taking lead vocals and Goose stretching the normally concise Purple Rain classic into a 10:16 performance.

The song has stuck around ever since, becoming a recurring part of Goose’s repertoire. It’s now been played 14 times, most recently in August 2026.

But it all started here.

🪿TODAY IN GOOSE HISTORY ⭐️

Six years ago today, Goose pulled into Swanzey, New Hampshire for a show that featured a little piece of history.

Look Out Cleveland made its Goose debut and the show, which came midway through Goose’s September–November 2020 drive-in tour, the show was later selected by the band for an official release.

As for Look Out Cleveland, it’s been played at least once every year since its debut, with 2025 being the only exception.

🪿TODAY IN GOOSE HISTORY ⭐️

Six years ago today, Goose pulled into Essex Junction, Vermont for a drive-in show that turned into one of the more unique nights in the band’s early history.

The reason? Dave Grippo🎷

A Vermont-based saxophonist, educator and longtime member of the jam-band world, Grippo is perhaps best known for his work with The Giant Country Horns, the horn section that toured with Phish in 1991.

On this particular night with Goose, Grippo joined on 9 of the 11 songs played across the two sets, including this nearly 24-minute Time To Flee.

To date, this remains Dave Grippo’s only appearance with Goose.

🪿TODAY IN GOOSE HISTORY ⭐️

Three years ago today, Goose played a 22-minute Elizabeth at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas.

Three years later, it’s become a much rarer sight.

Elizabeth has been played just once in 2026, most recently on April 17 in Clearwater. That brings its 2026 total to just 1 appearance compared to 12 in 2023.

👇 Does “Elizabeth” need to make a comeback this fall?

And if you were there for this one, what do you remember about it?
