What an Oscar Gets You in 2026.

An Oscar winner we interviewed told us he currently has no work.

That moment stuck with me while producing a new Bloomberg Weekly Doc about what’s happening across Hollywood right now.

Writers’ rooms shrinking.
Productions moving overseas.
Entire careers being reshaped.

We spoke with producers, writers, executives, creators, and strategists navigating an industry in transition.

Some are out of work.
Some are pivoting into entirely new careers.
Others are thriving in emerging ecosystems like the creator economy.

It’s a complicated moment for the industry.

Happy Holidays! We're grateful for our friends and family and for a little time off our screens!

We wrapped '25 like it was 1970 with this tongue-in-cheek vintage Merry Christmas promo for @jaymcelfresh - inspired by spots like Michelob Beer's 1970's Christmas commercial with John Forsythe and Johnny Cash's Lionel train promo from '76. We utilized a mix of live action and AI including GPT, Nano Banana, Veo 3, and traditional comp and roto work to get the full vibe.

Hope you're enjoy it. Looking forward to more fun in 2026! by @bigeyestudios

This post from my friend and business partner is a classic. On a whim @altontpeacock3 pulls off on a dirt road and finds this seemingly unremarkable yet ultimately deeply emotive shot. If you know Alton you know this is just what he does - sharing often lesser known details of Florida as well as the music he loves. I hope he’ll be back to this soon. Wishing you a speedy recovery and many great times ahead Alton. 🙏 taken in Tampa, Florida by @bigeyestudios
