We’ve put “Sam’s Son” up on Bandcamp a bit early.
We wanted to do something for the people who actually keep up with what we’re doing and give you a place to listen to it whenever you want before it properly comes out everywhere else.
You can also buy the track for £2 if you want to support us directly (which is about the same as 600 Spotify streams).
We’ve never really done this before because everything with this band has been completely DIY from the start, and honestly we’ve always found it hard asking for support in this kind of way.
But making music, recording, travelling and putting songs out adds up, and if you do want to help us keep doing this, it really does mean a lot to us.
If you’ve connected with what we do and want to help us keep making music, it genuinely means a lot. Even just listening, sharing the songs, or coming to shows has helped get us this far, so thank you for sticking with us.

BIG FIG STUDIO V1 IS CLOSING IN DECEMBER! REDUCED RATES FOR EVERYONE FOR THE NEXT TWO MONTHS. (Hopefully I nailed that Clickbait)

I’m moving house which means closing the doors on my current place and opening another in early 2027. I’m running a reduced rate for the next 2 months.

You’ve got two options:
A) Book in for drum tracking with a song/bunch of songs while I still have my drum room and then finish the other instruments in the new place

B) Book in and we smash through a whole project tracking everything

Don’t panic I will still be working while I’m building studio two and can still:
Record Guitar, Bass and Vocals
Mix
Record drums at another studio (budget permitting)

So If you have a project you want to get done get in touch and take advantage of the big send off to my first studio.

Thanks, Jake. taken in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire by @bigfigstudio

My latest single ANOTHER CASUALTY just dropped, super stoked for you all to hear it!

I wrote this one quite a while ago and had been sitting on it until I could truly do it justice, it turned out awesome!

You can check it out on your preferred platform at the link in bio!

Once again, thanks to everyone who played a part in making it happen:

🎧Headphones recommended🎧

Freewheeling and having fun after tracking some remote drums. There’s no samples, just a quick mix straight off the mics with some EQ and judicious amounts of compression and saturation.

Playing with the rooms cranked through compression, feels like the kit breathes in the spaces. If you haven’t tried it, I highly recommend it. Especially if you’re tracking that shoegaze/emo/grundge vibe.

If you need drums or want to record live drums for your next project, get in touch and let’s get it done!

Apathy, Confirmed feat. Sober Dave
This one’s a special one.

I got to collaborate with my longtime friend @soberdavemixing not only on the track itself as a feature, but he also put together the awesome art piece that makes up the artwork (more on that later). There couldn’t have been a better way for us both to say FUCK AI!

I have always looked up to Dave since our days in The Drunken Ramblings together. He’s a creative force to be reckoned with. Not content with being just a brilliant songwriter and musician, he’s also absolutely phenomenal at other forms of art too. We’ve worked together for a long time, he recorded and mixed my first 2 EPs, did the artwork for EP1 and the ACAB single, and there was never any doubt in my mind that I’d get him on a track one day!

It’s out now on all your favourite platforms, go check it out and let us know what you think!

Once again sounding awesome courtesy of @jakestantonmusic at @bigfigstudio , and @tim_turan at @turanaudio with the great master for a final touch.

Making art with your buddies is the absolute best.
I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
Real art will always prevail, AI will always be doomed to fail. by @bigfigstudio

OOPSIE 🔥🧯

Second single of our upcoming EP just dropped! We wrote this one about how shit renting has been in the UK for the last 10 years and all the shady and incompetent characters that make renting a fucking nightmare

Hopefully you find this song as cathartic as we did writing it 💛
