last year when i moved back to rva, it was my first time living alone. but i missed the presence of having rico and ozzy (🦮👼❤️) around. one night at 3 am i was on the @richmondspca website and i ran across the foster page for cosmo. “Cosmo is currently the saddest cat in the world, and he could really use some love to cheer him up.” and if you know me, im full of love baby 🤪🤪🤪 when i went to meet him he stayed in his hidey hut and did not interact with me. it wasn’t until the worker he opened up the most to heard he was possibly going home and wanted to say goodbye. when she came into the room, he didn’t light up but you could tell he became calm. i thank her for that dearly, even though i can’t remember her name, because then cosmo let me pet him. i fell in love. “He tolerates petting, and never comes out of his hidey box. It was said in the good samaritan's home that he would rub against her legs and ask for pets, so we feel quite sure that once out of the stressful shelter environment, Cosmo will blossom.” this beautiful boy has done more than blossom, now all he wants is love and attention. he loves to lay on me and will always undoubtedly knock out whatever is in my hands so they are available to pet. ne-yo i did not meet until i got to the shelter, and what a curious baby he was. he gave me so much joy in that short time together, i had to foster him too. (September is Adopt One, Wave Adoption Fee for another Feline at the RSPCA, so you know i had to BOGO the boys) well look how far “fostering” got me. for the first month cosmo and ne-yo barely left my closet, or any other hiding spot they could find, and now they think they own the place even though THEY DONT PAY ANY RENT . cosmo taught me that even if life causes you to think nothing is going to get better, you always have the opportunity to become vulnerable and find your comfort once again. every day ne-yo reminds me how small and fragile life is, he’s basically a plush toy that is excited to see me when i wake up every morning. i never thought i would be a cat person but you live and you learn. happy one year with my boys 💘 we’ve already spent a life time together but i’m grateful for more 💫✨ by @bigg.e.e
