DEJA VU, written by my GOAT 🐐 @iam_soundz (Samuel Oluwadarasimi Idowu).

Big shoutout to @snypagram and @kjspio_ facilitator extraordinaire, for making this happen. ❤️

_

So, last November, I was in London and decided to disturb one of my favourite people, @snypagram 😂 Told him I needed to sit down with KJ, and my guy said, “Say less, that’s my brother.”

A few hours later, the location dropped, and we were seated, talking music and discussing how Ghana had somehow become one of our favourite places.

Fast forward to December. We land in Ghana, and that same night, KJ hits us with the classic: “Pull up.” we pulled up, and boom… Sarkodie. 😭🐐

We chopped it up for a bit, and life went on. We started working on music for KJ’s project, and Sark pulled up a few times. Nothing happened musically, though. But I could tell he fucked with the boy, and honestly, that alone was enough for me. I wasn’t asking for much. 😂

Then, months later, KJ calls “Sark wants one of the songs for himself and *********” 🤯. What started as a simple “let’s sit down and talk music” has turned into something special. by @biggerjoe_

A few months back, we were trying to decide on our next release.
I suggested we f*uck around and put out a project instead, reflecting the shift and clarity around where Soundz is at now, which birthed the title BECOMING HIM.

We had about a month and two weeks to put everything together, with no real expectations. God came through, and we created something special.

Grateful to have A&R’d some of the records on the project

Shoutout to the DSPs for the continued support.

BECOMING HIM is a month in, and the reception has been incredible.

To my heaven-sent executive producer @demolaog thank you for everything. I truly appreciate you.

To every creative, manager, and lawyer who worked on this and had to deal with me stressing over one thing or another thank you.

@ sixtus I know you hate seeing me coming 😭 thank you always.
