A few slabs of picanha cooked with my trusty old two-prong churrasco @superskewer. No fancy seasonings needed here – just an overnight dry brine in kosher salt. Nice weather, hot coals, and the aroma of sizzling beef fat… what could be better!🔥👍

Pan seared sea scallops. I got these super fresh scallops from the fishmonger at a local farmer’s market. Lightly sprinkled with just salt and pepper and cooked in a well-seasoned carbon steel pan. Being allergic to shellfish, I unfortunately didn’t get to taste these, but my family really enjoyed them.😀

My lovely wife and I recently celebrated our 13th anniversary. For our celebratory meal, we went to one of our old favorites, Kabob & Curry in downtown Providence. I made the reckless decision to order the Lamb Vindaloo extra spicy and it certainly delivered. Although my tolerance for spicy food isn’t what it used to be, I surprised myself this time and defeated the vindaloo of death.🔥🥵💪

I’ve always wanted to debone a whole chicken and truss it into one of those “cushion” shapes that I’ve seen pro butchers do. I learned the technique by watching several YouTube and IG videos. In the end, all it takes is a sharp knife and lots of patience if trying it for the first time.😃

Here’s an experimental burger I made with the intent of it exploding with umami flavor. The burger patty was a blend of ground brisket & chuck, seasoned with @nomnompaleo Magic Mushroom Powder, topped with sautéed shiitake mushrooms & scallions, then drizzled with @trybachans Japanese BBQ sauce, and served on a sweet Hawaiian bun.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the great moms out there! Here’s a pic of the brunch I made for my lovely wife and mother of our two (mostly good🤣) little kids. Homemade buttermilk waffles with homemade whipped cream and strawberries. The whipped cream was whisked by hand and I sweetened it with maple syrup and a few drops of maple extract.🧇🌷
