“to hell with it” by PinkPantherss turns 5 today!!!

This mixtape will forever be special to me as there are two songs on here that introduced me to the were first released as singles and were the only songs I’ve ever heard from PinkPantherss. Funnily enough, I actually found her on TikTok and since then I’ve never looked back!!

What started out as late-night GarageBand recoding in her uni dorm has turned into one of the most iconic projects in Uk music and her discography. Looking back at it, I genuinely think this project has changed how short-form music can still be catchy and timeless. I genuinely think her style of pop genuinely just showcases how talented she is as a songwriter and producer!

5 years later and it still a project I revisit often. What are your favourites and is still in your rotation till today?!

Punk by Young Thug Turns 5 today!

Crazy to think this album dropped 5 years ago!!
Following from his last album “So Much Fun” which provided us with a very strong melodic and energetic performance, “Punk” was the complete opposite of that. “Punk’ showcased a more vulnerable side of Young Thug. It was a more stripped back project and really allowed Young Thug to share his real life experiences with his fans. The album also includes Mac Miller’s last ever recording on “Days Before” before he passed away in 2018 RIP.

5 years later I genuinely think this is one of if not Young Thug’s most underrated projects. I genuinely do think we see a side to Young Thug that most artists aren’t comfortable sharing with the public and I think it allowed fans like myself to connect with Young Thug not only as an artist but as a human too!

What’s your favourite track on “Punk” and is it still in your rotation till today?!!

The “Environment” EP by Oshane was a really good way of Oshane telling his story of growing up Ireland and hardships he faced to get to where he is today. If your a fan of story telling or thought provoking rap, this so will defo have you feeling a type of way. Congrats to Oshane on the release of his new Ep!

LOCKED IN BY NEMZZZ definitely disappoint!! I definitely think he stepped up from his last project, “Rent’s Due. I definitely think Nemzzz experiments a lot better on this project and steps out of his comfort zone!! Lemme know your opinions on the comments!!!

This EP just showed how Uzi still has got the hunger he still had as an artist. I really do think with this EP we’re about to see Uzi enter another realm of him just dominating as an artist. I really do believe that Uzi will have a second prime when he drops his new album and if that happens, uncomfortable conversations need to happen. But let me know your thoughts in the comments guys, what do we think? Are we down for Lil Uzi Vert Second prime?
