Super proud to finally announce that I have started my first-ever internship with the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation! As a first-generation student, this opportunity is truly life-changing, and I’m excited to finally share not only the hard work that brought me here but also the important work I’ll be contributing to on Capitol Hill. 🇺🇸

Over the next few months, I will be interning for a senator who serves on several key committees, gaining firsthand experience in the policymaking process and deepening my understanding of how our government operates. I will also be engaging with critical policy issues that align with my passions, including education, national security, and LGBTQ+ rights.

This is just the beginning of my journey as a future leader, and I’m beyond grateful for the support of my family, friends, and community. That helped and/or influenced me on my professional journey. #CBCFIntern #CapitolHill taken in Washington D. C. by @bighead.kris

Overly proud to announce that as of today, I am officially an alumnus of Florida State University. I dedicate my degree to my mother in heaven, Katina Hamilton, who passed away just weeks before she could obtain her undergraduate degree from the very same university I attended. I want to give the BIGGEST honor to God because I truly couldn’t have done it without his grace.

Education is something nobody can take away from you. As a first-generation graduate, I hope to inspire the next generation of young Black scholars to pursue their dreams relentlessly and to believe in the power of perseverance and faith. Together, we can break barriers, shatter ceilings, and create a legacy of excellence. Let us celebrate 🍾

90 & fabulous. The love the my grandmother has poured into our family means the world to me so it’s only right I show her off to the world. I’m always thinking about how I would be beyond lucky to inherit just a fragment of the loving, kindhearted nature of this woman and her daughter so I’m wishing my beautiful grandmother a prosperous 90th birthday. Love you Williemae 💓 by @bighead.kris
