Transforming this #mudroom one phase at a time! This was truly a labor of love. From design, installation, to painting/staining, we had our work cut out for us. The shelving + bench are custom built & fitted to an originally empty space in the secondary entry area. We also painted two interior doors (one not shown) to maintain consistency with the overall design plans + vision of the home. We’ve already modified the shelving styling and are preparing to install brass hooks on the back wall. This will be the perfect place for backpacks, purses, and temporary storage for other personal items. Up next we will be painting the barn door and adding/updating hardware, so stay tuned! A little #throwbackthursday for ya timeline 🤸🏽‍♀️Did a little outfit video on my birthday. I had a #selfcare day, so I wanted to be comfortable + cute. I actually started out the day in a pair of 12s, but my feet got hot, so these sandals were the perfect switch. See how long my hair is? Ya girl got them INCHES! Our favorite thing to do at Your Place of Peace is transform spaces with paint! If you’re looking for a way to refresh or revamp your space, start with a little paint first. For Part I of this #PantryMakeover, we decided to paint the pantry door black and switch the builder-grade silver hardware to black. The color selection was based on the overall color scheme for the home, which incorporates black throughout. The small details really have started to bring the vision for the pantry + kitchen to life! We’re still in the design phase for the #interior of the pantry—organization and maximizing the walk-in space are our top priorities. Turned 33, Hallelujah 🤍 Closing out my birthday month with Part I of my birthday photographs. I forced myself to take pictures this year, despite not feeling up for it. Chapter 32 wasn’t quite what I thought it would be—the year was rather chaotic, which was fitting given how my birthday last year started. While there were some lows, there were so many highs. So, in that vein, I took these pictures to celebrate another year of blessings, another year of life. God has kept me, and I am so grateful to just be here. Everything, hallelujah. We all know I’ve been trying to get back into content creation, so I’m starting a new series…let’s call it “Mom Fits” 🥳 Trying to find my comfort zone with clothes these days, and I know a lot of #mamas can relate. Either clothes are way too small or way too big. Honestly, I’m not a fan of routines. Something about the word makes me itch! If I had a consistent #morning routine, however, making #coffee would be a staple. It allows me to slow down, be #intentional and focus on one thing at a time. Making coffee (and tea) is one of my favorite labors of love. I’ve been mastering my signature Iced Latte for somebody’s son, and dare I say I’m getting pretty good. Figuring out my #espresso machine has been a challenge, but I’m from Memphis & can handle anything. My #1 goal was taste and now I’m perfecting my at-home #barista method lol. You’d have to come to my house to find out my recipe, and I don’t like people. So here’s a video with no additional details, instead. 🥰 PS—I’m getting back into content, and I’ve decided I don’t need a niche.
