Feeling isolated and out of place is a lonely and scary experience for anybody. As trans people, we have no choice but to experience that in some capacity within our lives. For me, that feeling of being out of place felt everlasting. I’ve found that time spent in nature and within grounding has always been the best cure. Reminding myself that I am from this earth, just as anything else is, has always been healing. Feeling the dirt beneath my feet will forever remind me that I belong no matter how out of place I may feel <3

Years of trying to love myself, and working to overcome the heteronormative standards that I’ve been raised to believe in is finally paying off. Life gets better and I wish I could tell my younger self that, just know if you see this and feel stuck that time will nurture you.

Life after transition is pretty fucking sweet if I do say!! Learning self love, confidence, and overcoming the trials and tribulations I faced as a trans child has been worth every second of my journey. As we approach the end of pride month, I just ask that all my trans brothers/susters/siblings and our ally’s stand together in solidarity. We need support and self care now more then ever, love yourself, love one another, and stay kind. Being a trans man is hard, finding community and genuine understanding is rare for us. Finding solace amongst queer spaces can be even end up difficult at times. Masculinity is not cherished as authentically as other forms of queer expression. We face a forgotten and dismissed oppression/experience that seems to be understood only by other transgender men.

As we enter pride month 2026, I can only ask that trans men are given grace, understanding, kindness, and consideration. As transgender men we must uplift one another at the absolutely least, we will pick our brothers up from every fall until the rest of society can consider us. We must help one another

Trans KIDS turn into trans adults, protect trans kids and their healthcare.

If it weren’t for the medical intervention I got as a suicidal, depressed, and drug addicted teeenager, I can confidently I would not be here today. I was practically disabled by my dysphoria, I was shunned from society, I was unable to complete school, I felt hopeless and my choices reflected that. But with doctor intervention, mental health evaluation and grueling authenticity, it was found that HRT and other forms of gender affirming healthcare intervention were the correct treatment for my dysphoria and unstable mental health.

Now today at 21 years old, I am happy, confident, self assured, goal oriented, and thriving in ways that wouldn’t be possible without the early intervention I received. Trans youth deserve the correct care and support, I see you all. #transman #🏳️‍⚧️ #trans #transmasc #ftm by @bigmutt.romeo
