We had an absolute blast downtown last night seeing America's Local Band @therealcheekface and @pacingmusic. Just the best! If you don't know I love Cheekface, you don't know me too well, eh?! Pacing was great and so wonderful to meet Katie and the band! Got to see some fellow cheekfreaks irl too which just warms my heart as well. We also got some great Mexican food, poked around some thrift stores, bookstores... It gets no better!! taken in Neumos by @bigoak1669

I also have been to a few shows and hung out with some dear friends lately! I tagged along with Ian for his 100th and my first Phish show. B-Stag and Loren Doman were there too, so that made it that much more special! The family and I also went to the Punk Rock Flea Market the next weekend where Juli bought a bunch of cool, locally made stuff. After that, I went to see the legendary MURS with Jesse. Murs was kind enough to sign my Yumiko poster from a kickstarter project he was involved in over a decade ago and then rocked the stage for like an hour and a half covering his whole catalog. REALLY different shows that were all REALLY great experiences. Up next though is Cheekface! by @bigoak1669

I realized I haven't posted in a while and that I have some wonderful pictures to share! April was busy. It started off great with my parents coming to visit and Juli performing with her new band, Robert's Pizzeria (none of them are named Robert or particularly adept at pizza making, to my knowledge). All these pictures are of or around the beautiful cherry blossoms on the U of Washington campus. Up there with some of the sakura I was able to see in Japan for sure! It was our first time going to see them at UW; I'm glad we did and it was all the more special with my parents being there! taken in University of Washington by @bigoak1669

Ahoy 🫡 Your boy, truly, survived January. Reset my phone and didn't install Instagram, but here I am again 🙄It wasn't a great of a month, but I did some cool things. We've been enjoying a linocut set from Christmas. It was dry and sunny, so I went on some gorgeous hikes. I grew out a beard. Went to California for work (love seeing my coworkers in real life). Finally shaved the beard. What else... Still exercising every morning, trying (and often failing) not to eat too much... Still the same ol' G, I've just been low key. Ahoy Mateys 🦜
I haven’t made a real post in months 😬—been busy living life!

• Went to my 20th HS Reunion during Paul Bunyan Days. Honestly, it’s a bit of a blur, but maybe that’s for the best(?).

• Then came spooky season 🎃: drama club, band gigs, new D&D books… Juli's performing all over the place! 🌟

• Survived the bomb cyclone blackout but lost a bunch of food.

• Thanksgiving in Kansas 🦃, where we celebrated Baby Rix’s first birthday (Luke’s kid).

• Right after, I flew to Orlando for a work conference. You know me… 😏

There is absolutely no way we could have had a better time seeing @therealcheekface! We met the band before and after the show, they were so gracious, and they sounded AMAZING! It was a rocking show in a great venue... Just perfect! If they're coming to a town near you (and they probably are) spend the $20 and go!!
