POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

That's my sister, Julie!
A mighty team led by Julie just launched EngAGE Beverly, a nonprofit that helps neighbors with early memory changes and their families. Meeting twice a week, these strategic gatherings offer social connection and activities that activate parts of the brain and strengthen connections to help keep members healthier longer. Participants can swap stories, laugh, and remember they’re not doing this alone.

My background is in public health & real estate; I know how much EngAGE is needed. Social connection is one of the strongest protective factors we have as we age, and isolation can be as damaging as any diagnosis. What Julie is building is real community care, and I couldn’t be prouder. 👏

Julie and I share a passion. Like my big sister, I care and help aging families from a housing perspective. For many families, the hardest conversations aren’t about memory. They’re about home and planning:
🏡 Is this house still working for Mom and Dad?
🏡 Can we make it safer so they can stay?
🏡 Or is it time to right-size somewhere closer to family, care, and community?

These decisions are emotional, and they go much better when you make them early, when everyone can contribute to a thoughtful plan, not in a crisis. That might mean modifying a home to age in place, rightsizing, or intergenerational living. I have experience facilitating conversations with families to create a strong, documented plan, long before the need to execute, using empathy, data, and patience. 💬 My DMs are always open if you are interested in learning more about EngAGE, want my free future planning guide, or are starting to think about a move.

And if someone you love is noticing early memory changes, please connect with EngAGE Beverly 👉 [@engagebeverly / link in bio]

On September 28th my family and I will be participating in the @behcets_usa walk to spread awareness and raise money for more #behçet research. If you live in the Indianapolis area, I would be honored if you came out to walk with me or just say hi! I was diagnosed with Bechet’s Syndrome when I was 16 years old. While it has slowed me down at times, I’m so lucky it’s never held me back from perusing my dreams. by @bigottiestyle
